Today, we officially declared that my wife is the better snooker player between the two of us. She's only marginally better but when you hear her talk about it, you'd think she's a pro player and I'm an amateur.

Prior to playing snooker, we had to accompany my siblings to their different bus terminals that would take them back to their cities of residence. My brother was heading to Ibadan while Karina heads to Port Harcourt. 

I had different wave of mixed emotions I saw my siblings leave me for what would be our last  encounter for at  least one year. It was heavier than the last time we were together in Warri two years ago because that time, I was only just going back to Kaduna where I resided. 

This time, I'll be very far away from the life we're living here in the country as I start another life across the Atlantic. I'm excitedly looking forward to the future but with each passing day, my heart grows heavier. 

To avoid these emotions, I've employed sleep but in recent weeks, I've not really been sleeping well due to circumstances beyond me and because of this insomnia, I've had to really experience the emotions I was avoiding. On top of that, seeing my siblings get into those vehicles and head back to their lives really made me feel sick to my stomach. 

A couple of minutes past 8am, we were already at Eagle Line with Ebingo that was departing for Ibadan from Warri. I stood there and watched the vehicle start moving with so many thoughts in my head.

Watching my brother leave was more difficult than I thought it would be and watching my sister leave wasn't easy as well. She was heading back to Port Harcourt and as we stood in the park while her bus started moving, I felt an uneasiness that brought tears to my eyes. 

I'll be gone for a while and I'm going to miss so much in all their lives. I'm not going to be around to experience their growth and story. 
 
Of course I'll always be in contact and we'll always keep up with each other. However, it felt surreal to actually experience the emotions that come from the biggest "see you later" in our lives. 

My mum heard that I was crying and called a lot later to console me but I jokingly denied it. 

Anyway, after seeing off Karina, we investigated a pretty and well lit building in the area to find out if it's a lounge or lodge. It turned out to be a lounge, so we played two snooker matches that my wife won by tiny margin.

Frankly speaking, we both suck at the game but she sucks less. That technically means that she is better than me at it but with some practice, I'll easily turn the tides.
