Greetings creative community around the world, I wish you are healthy and happy and God's blessing abound in your homes, we are in the last day of January, it's amazing how fast time moves; today I share with you my entry to the contest: [Flowers](https://peakd.com/hive-189641/@diyhub/diyhub-monthly-contest-january-2023-flower), for this occasion I decided to restore a hand towel adding different flowers made with fabric scraps, the flowers are very original, the fabrics have prints of dinosaurs, sheep, among others that are not common in flowers. I have always thought that flowers are a beautiful gift from the Creator, they adorn the gardens, beautify the house and give us exquisite aromas, a very dear friend says that a house without flowers looks sad, she loves flowers and has a beautiful garden that she takes care of with love, I really liked this theme of the contest.

Saludos comunidad creativa en todo el mundo, deseo se encuentren sanos y felices y la bendición de Dios abunde en sus hogares, estamos en el último día del mes de enero, es increíble lo rápido que avanza el tiempo; hoy comparto con ustedes mi entrada al concurso: [Flores](https://peakd.com/hive-189641/@diyhub/diyhub-monthly-contest-january-2023-flower), para esta ocasión decidí restaurar una toalla de mano agregando diferentes flores hechas con retazos de telas, las flores son muy originales, las telas tienen estampados de dinosaurios, ovejas, entre otros que no son comunes en las flores. Siempre he pensado que las flores son un hermoso regalo del Creador, ellas adornan los jardines, embellecen la casa y nos regalan exquisitos aromas, una amiga muy querida dice que una casa sin flores se ve triste, ella ama las flores y tiene un hermoso jardín que cuida con mucho amor, esta temática del concurso me gustó mucho.

**How do we make them?**

The first step is to mark and cut the petals of the flowers, we also mark the leaves. The towel decoration project includes different types of flowers easy to make and in a few steps, 2 of them have double fabric and machine sewing, if we do not have machine we can sew by hand, for the others we cut the petals and with hand sewing we join and gather, the last ones we only cut the petals and form the flower of our preference. To give a different look to the petals I cut several of them with zig zag scissors and also the large leaves.

**¿Cómo las hacemos?**

El primer paso es marcar y cortar los pétalos de las flores,  también marcamos las hojas. El proyecto de decoración de la toalla incluye diferentes tipos de flores sencillas de realizar y en pocos pasos, 2 de ellas llevan doble tela y costura a máquina, si no disponemos de máquina se puede coser a mano, para las otras cortamos los pétalos y con costura a mano unimos y arruchamos, las últimas solo cortamos los pétalos y formamos la flor de nuestra preferencia. Para dar un aspecto diferente a os pétalos corté varios de ellos con tijeras de zig zag y también las hojas grandes.

The flowers that have double fabric, we face them right side to right side, we sew along the line that we marked previously, leaving the bottom part without sewing, we cut the excess fabric and flip them over.

Las flores que tienen tela doble, las enfrentamos derecho con derecho, les pasamos costura por la línea que marcamos anteriormente, dejando la parte de abajo sin coser, cotamos el exceso de tela y volteamos.

We make the centers of the flowers filling the circles with wadding and sew until a ball is formed, the other centers or pistils will be flat, we cut out several circles with the zig zag scissors for a better finish.

The purple flower is made by folding the circles in half, then fold them again and sew all the petals on the bottom, we pull the thread until we get the desired pucker, secure with a knot and cut the excess thread. The other flowers are made by sewing the petals at the bottom and ruffling according to our taste.

La flor morada la hacemos doblando los círculos a la mitad, luego doblamos nuevamente y cosemos por la parte de abajo todos los pétalos, arruchamos halando el hilo hasta lograr el arruche que deseamos, aseguramos con un nudo y cortamos el exceso de hilo. Las otras flores las hacemos cosiendo los pétalos en la parte de abajo y arruchando de acuerdo a nuestro gusto.

We glue the yellow flower, then the white one, the dinosaur print, then the red one, then the purple one until we finish with the flowers, finally we glue the leaves and in this way we have a beautiful towel decorated with flowers.
