# A birthday Sunday! My dad's birthday! Happy to share with my family

Hello dear friends of Family & Friends! It is a pleasure to be here once again to share with you. This time I share with the Hive family my dad's birthday, which was on June 4th, exactly last Sunday. It was a beautiful day, because although my family is small, we don't go out anywhere and we don't live together, so getting together, even for a little while, always takes us out of the routine and encourages us to enjoy a moment with each other.

The celebration was very simple, as it consisted of simply going to eat pizzas at a place on Aristides Street in Mendoza City. The area is known as "La Arístides", and it is a long street with a lot of bars and restaurants. We went to *Zitto*, a restaurant specialized in pizzas that is my parents' favorite.

My aunt (Graciela, my mom's sister), my dad and I went, and we ordered two huge pizzas of 10 portions each (it was too much), one special with ham and the other with four cheeses. Of course they were delicious.

As soon as we arrived the bar was empty, but little by little more and more people came to enjoy that Sunday at noon. There were several tourists, as it is normal at this time of the year in Mendoza.

After sharing that moment, in which we toasted with some beer, everyone went home and I went later to my parents' place for my dad to blow out the candles on a *lemon pie*, which is his favorite dessert.

I don't have pictures of that moment because I had left my phone charging at home.

# Un domingo de cumpleaños!! El cumple de mi papá! Feliz de compartir con mi familia

¡Hola queridos amigos de Family & Friends! Es un placer estar aquí una vez más para compartir con ustedes. En esta ocasión comparto con la familia de Hive el día de cumpleaños de mi papá, que fue el día 4 de Junio, exactamente el domingo pasado. Fue un día hermoso, ya que aunque mi familia es pequeña, no somos de salir a algún lugar y no vivimos juntos, por lo que reunirnos, aunque sea un ratito, siempre saca de la rutina al tiempo que nos alienta a disfrutar de un momento entre todos.

El festejo fue muy sencillo, ya que consistió simplemente en ir a comer pizzas a un lugar de la calle Arístides de Ciudad de Mendoza. La zona es conocida así, como “La Arístides”, y es una larga calle que cuenta con una gran cantidad de bares y restaurantes. Nosotros fuimos a *Zitto*, un restaurante especializado en pizzas que es el preferido de mis padres. 

Fuimos mi tía (Graciela, hermana de mi mamá), mi papá y yo, y pedimos dos pizzas enormes de 10 porciones cada una (fue demasiado), una especial con jamón y la otra cuatro quesos. Claro que estaban riquísimas.

Ni bien llegamos estaba vacío el bar, pero poco a poco fueron llegando más personas a disfrutar de aquel domingo al mediodía. Había varios turistas, como es normal en esta época en Mendoza.

Después de compartir ese momento, en el que brindamos con un poco de cerveza, cada uno se fue a su casa y yo me fui más tarde a lo de mis padres para que mi papá soplara las velitas en un *lemon pie*, que es su postre preferido.

No tengo fotos de ese momento porque había dejado mi teléfono cargándose en mi casa.

It was a nice moment, not only because it was my dad's birthday, but also because I'm going through a breakup, and it's always nice to be surrounded by loved ones at times like this.

Also, Monday June 5th was the birthday of a friend who lives with her parents, who are very old, and when I greeted her and asked her about her day, she told me that she was very happy to have her parents with her.

Somehow, her statement made me appreciate even more the previous day that I had shared with my parents.

Although in the last few posts I have mentioned the importance of family, I have never considered myself to be too much of a family person, as I always tend to be somewhat more emotionally rational.

However, it may be because I also see my parents as older and because of the passing of my grandmother, coupled with my growing desire to live abroad, I am valuing more the moments I share with them lately.

Fue un lindo momento, no sólo porque era el cumpleaños de mi papá, sino porque además, justo me encuentro atravesando una ruptura amorosa, y siempre es lindo rodearse de seres queridos en momentos así.

Además, el lunes 5 de junio fue el cumpleaños de una amiga que vive con sus padres, que son bien mayores, y cuando la saludé y le pregunté por su día, me dijo que estaba muy contenta por tener a sus papás con ella.

De alguna manera, su frase me hizo valorar aún más el día anterior en el que yo había compartido con mis padres.

Aunque en los últimos posts he mencionado la importancia de la familia, nunca me he considerado una persona demasiado familiera, pues tiendo siempre a ser algo más racional en lo emocional. 

Sin embargo, será porque también veo a mis padres más grandes y por el fallecimiento de mi abuela, sumado a mi deseo que voy construyendo de vivir en el exterior, últimamente estoy valorando más los momentos que comparto junto a ellos.
