# The magic of a simple life and the encounter of self in Meditation

_______


One morning in my little place of Yoga and meditation. The zafu awaits me for a brief encounter while I cover myself with a blanket to enjoy that moment of stillness in the hidden warmth of Mendoza's cold winter.

I smile as I look at the lotus flower drawn on my mat, symbol of spiritual expansion and remember that I have a similar one tattooed on the top of my back. The OM symbol makes me think of infinity and the beauty of a full life beyond matter.

This was my first Yoga mat, I called it my magic carpet after doing my first practices on it. Today it has laughter, tears, screams, anger, laughter, happiness, falls, achievements, progress and setbacks. This mat represents my path in Yoga, which at the same time is a symbol of my path in life.

I smile, because this morning when I woke up, happiness came out of my whole being and enveloped my face.

How beautiful it is to feel life from the *non-matter*, how beautiful it is to surrender to the pure energy that transcends all and that accompanies us from the most beautiful light.

Sometimes one gets lost in objects. Sometimes we even get lost in conflicts that in the end turn out to be insignificant. We identify ourselves with things, moments and people, and we forget that life is simply much more than that, much more in pursuit of simplicity.

The path of life shows me that minimalism allows the self to expand. When we remove so many objects from our surroundings then there is room for our light and energy, when we put in one thing and another we begin to enclose ourselves, to limit ourselves, to be able to move less and less.

Meditation is a simple moment, it is a moment where there is nothing around. Nothing and nobody but your own energy, and it is in that external emptiness, where the only movement that exists is that of the air entering and leaving your physical body, when the ***all*** that you are manifests.

From this external nothingness that surrounds the instance of meditation, is from where the true essence of each one of us begins to manifest. Stillness, calm, simplicity, an apparent nothingness that ends up becoming everything. I surrender to the moment of encounter with myself, which is always there to give me the wisdom that guides my walk.

A sachet of *te Chai* awaits me to activate *agni*, the solar energy of action, the energy that now manifests itself in these words.

# La magia de una vida simple y el encuentro propio en la Meditación

Una mañana cualquiera en mi lugarcito de Yoga y meditación. El zafu me espera para un breve encuentro conmigo mientras me cubro con una frazada para disfrutar de aquel momento de quietud en la calidez escondida del frío invierno mendocino.

Sonrío mientras observo la flor de loto dibujada en mi colchoneta, símbolo de la expansión espiritual y recuerdo que tengo una similar tatuada en lo alto de mi espalda. El símbolo del OM me hace pensar en el infinito y en la belleza de una vida plena más allá de la materia.

Esta fue mi primera colchoneta de Yoga, la llamé mi alfombra mágica tras realizar en ella mis primeras prácticas. Hoy tiene risas, lágrimas, gritos, ira, carcajadas, felicidad, caídas, logros, avances y retrocesos. Esta colchoneta representa mi camino en el Yoga, que al mismo tiempo es símbolo de mi camino en la vida.

Sonrío, porque está mañana cuando desperté, la felicidad salía de todo mi ser y envolvía mi rostro.

Qué bonito es sentir la vida desde la *no materia*, qué bonito es entregarse a la energía pura que trasciende a todos y que nos acompaña desde la más hermosa luz.

A veces uno se pierde en los objetos. A veces incluso nos perdemos en conflictos que al final resultan ser insignificantes. Nos identificamos con cosas, momentos y personas, y nos olvidamos de que la vida es sencillamente mucho más que eso, mucho más en pos de la simplicidad.

El camino de la vida me muestra que el minimalismo permite que el ser se expanda. Cuando quitamos tantos objetos de alrededor entonces hay lugar para nuestra luz y energía, cuando metemos una y otra cosa empezamos a encerrarnos, a limitarnos, a poder movernos cada vez menos.

La meditación es un momento simple, es un momento en donde no hay nada alrededor. Nada ni nadie más que tu propia energía, y es en ese vacío externo, en donde el único movimiento que existe es el del aire ingresando y saliendo de tu cuerpo físico, cuando se manifiesta ese ***todo*** que eres.

Desde esta nada externa que rodea a la instancia de meditación, es desde donde empieza a manifestarse la verdadera esencia de cada uno. Quietud, calma, sencillez, una nada aparente que termina por convertirse en todo. Me entrego al momento de encuentro conmigo, que siempre está allí para brindarme la sabiduría que guía mi andar.

Un saquito de *té Chai* me espera para activar a *agni*, la energía solar de acción, la energía que ahora se manifiesta en estas palabras.
