What you need to know about your mental health
Nowadays, many people believe that their mental health is at risk. This is because we encounter many obstacles and challenges in our daily lives, which we are not always able to solve easily.

Workload and professional expectations can weigh on our shoulders. We need to be perfect, fast, productive, cohesive, and communicative at all times to satisfy our careers.
To complete the picture, we also need to be present, understanding, compassionate, and friendly in our social circles. Thus, anxiety arises to live up to all these criteria.
In addition to routine obligations, there is also a gigantic load of information, often conflicting and exhausting from the media. TV news, social media, videos, audios ...
Even at home, after hours, or on a lazy day, we are unable to rest our minds completely. She is always working, absorbing information, and forcing us to conclude matters that do not concern us.
Consequently, our well-being is affected until, one day, we realize emotional problems that did not exist before.

## Why is mental health important?

When last, do you let yourself be at peace without worrying about work, family or relationship problems, and your chores for the next day?
Have you ever stopped, breathed, and thought about your mental health?
There are still stigmas in society about taking time to take care of ourselves.
Although the general perception has improved due to the popularization of such topics as emotional health, burnout syndrome, and psychological disorders, people are either too attached to their obligations or do not believe in the seriousness of mental disorders.
They cannot distance themselves from them or from the problems that plague them to see them from afar, as an observer. On the contrary: they identify themselves with their disturbances or those of others, throwing themselves headlong into them. Only then do they realize the negative consequences of this impulsive attitude.
We are always taught to persist, never look back, or remain strong in the face of challenges. It seems that to survive, we need to be impenetrable fortresses, right?
Breathing deeply in chaos is also essential. In fact, it is even more important than blind persistence. When we don't slow down, we damage our mental health.
People tend not to pay attention to this because even when we cultivate harmful habits, we can function for a while. It is only when a psychological disorder, such as depression or anxiety, appears that they become aware of their actions.
It is in the calm that we are able to collect thoughts and outline action plans. When we treat ourselves well and take care of ourselves, we can overcome any obstacle.
Our relationships are better, our professional efforts are recognized, and we value ourselves as we should.
However, we are not yet taught to slow down.

How should we solve our problems? How should we behave at work or in the face of high expectations?
How to act on social networks so that we don't feel overwhelmed with such a flow of information? How to enjoy the good things in life?
First of all, you don't have to shy away from all your commitments and obligations.
Mainly because, in most cases, they are essential steps to achieve a greater goal. Despite being stressed, we need to go through them to make progress. Exactly why we need to learn to take care of our mental health.
We must find a healthy, manageable, and, preferably, pleasant way to balance the good and the bad in life. This search takes time and a lot of trial and error to find your formula.  
Then, this formula needs to become a habit. It needs to become an integral part of your to-do list, but not an obligation. Otherwise, it gets boring. And nobody likes boring things. Soon, you will start looking for other formulas to replace it.
