I would look at my to-do list on most days and think: “You know what - let me prepare for it today and only do it tomorrow” aka **The “Tomorrow” Disease.** Deep down, we all know where this leads - time passing by like a Japanese bullet train and we at New Year Eve realizing we sleepwalked for 12 months. This is bad, REAL bad. The Iesson I learned? **What’s easy to do is also easy *not* to do.** Let me explain. # Money <center></center> <center> [Image source](https://www.pexels.com/photo/rolled-20-u-s-dollar-bill-164527/)</center> - It’s easy to write a post for Steemit and easy not to. - It’s easy to apply for that job and easy not to apply as well. - It’s easy to send that message via LinkedIn to network and it’s easy not to. - It’s easy to spend just 5 minutes reading a book on your skill, it's also easy not to. # Health <center></center> <center> [Image source](https://www.pexels.com/photo/berries-berry-blur-close-up-302478/)</center> - It’s easy to opt out of drinking that Milo and it’s also easy not to. - It’s easy to skip that Egg McMuffin on the way to work, but it’s also easy not to. - It’s easy to drop down and do 20 pushups, but it's also easy not to. - It’s easy to set aside just 5 minutes (the length of a Bieber song) and meditate, it's also easy not to do it. - It’s easy to opt out of sugar when drinking your tea, it's also easy not to. # Relationships <center></center> <center> [Image source](https://www.pexels.com/photo/adult-blur-bokeh-bright-613321/)</center> - It’s easy to write a short 2 sentence love note to your spouse, it’s also easy not to. - It’s easy to send “How are you” messages to your old friends, it’s also easy not to. - It’s easy to spend just 1 minutes to record your day and update your parents, it’s also easy not to. (btw - the longest 75-year study on happiness ever conducted by Harvard concluded that the single greatest indicator to happiness was **the quality of our relationships**. So... spend more time with loved ones and start networking!) --- If we are truly honest with ourselves, most of the things listed above are very doable - but they are also very easy to dismiss. After all, it’s sooo easy NOT to do them as well. It’s almost negligible. When your mom calls and asks why haven’t you called back in a while, is it really true that you don't have a single minute to spare? Surely, you had plenty of free time during commutes and after work. If you really think about it, most of the things you want to accomplish can be done with relative ease. Just take it day by day. They are not impossible. You just need to be reminded of them. Ask yourself: **“A year from now, you will be a year older. What do you have to show for it?”** --- I would like to close with another Jim Rohn quote: > "The soil says, 'Don't bring me your **need**, bring me your **seed**.'" The farmer who doesn’t plant the seeds the season before, will not be able to harvest anything when it’s time. He may absolutely **need** it. But nothing happens. The only way he could have gotten what he wanted was if he laid the **seeds** earlier.

It's because it's so simple to just do what you need to do that makes me feel so guilty every time I choose not to. It becomes this weird never ending cycle of guilt that acts as a black hole!

Exactly! If we really think about it, the things we need to do on the daily to get to where we want to be ain't backbreakingly hard, its *because* they are equally easy to dismiss that we end up thinking "Ya hor, why didn't just put myself through those *chores*, I would have been a lot better today as result."
