Hey Bernie, that made me laugh. I don't know why people would do such things, I kept getting money sent to me as well few cents and dollars to up vote their content. I hope this post gets seen by many :)

I was actually considering sending you some SBD the other day for exactly that reason, but then I realized something, why should I ask you to read my posts when I could ask everyone else who's looking at your massive wallet to read my posts?  But then I realized something else, all the little minnows combined wouldn't make a splash compared to a whale like you.  So, why don't you make extra money that way?  You really could, you know?  Simply say that you'll do it for a minimum amount of SBD, and set the minimum as high as you want, lol.

Mr. @berniesanders will you ever do a #introduceyourself post? Maybe it is more your style to stay out of the direct spotlight, but I'd love to put a face to the username that has helped so many people. You buck trends and stand for what you believe in, whether or not that is a popular decision. Maybe like @smooth you use a group of people to discuss and find content. I always consider it to be a job well done when I look at who voted for me and I see your stamp of approval.

I think a lot of new users are jumping in trying to do what they can. I think there should be a tutorial or "how to use steemit" page on here. I admit I was one of those users just posting using the steemit tag and was looking to send whales SBD for help since I read a post that mentioned to try that.

Quite interested now in how much you've earned so far off these bribes? 😂 I doubt much since they are usually around .001 but still would be fun to add it up, maybe ill build a little script to find out ;)

Even if we promote our posts still no movement though. Most of my Psych posts have not been getting traction.  But I do understand about the spam SBD sent, I do like how you made a post about it and put us in our place.

I always wondered how you guys felt about the memos and I kinda felt bad for the people sending you SBD.

Although I am not entirely sold on the Promote feature, since most who are struggling to get noticed do not have a lot of SBD, so I doubt that it would help them since their post will be burried under posts from more successful authors. 

Also I have been hearing reports that after you pay to promote your article it may not actually promote it, someone just made a thread about this earlier and their is a bug report.

If Bernie doesn't want your SBD, you can send them to me. I'd be happy to look at your posts. Won't have the same effect as Bernie, but I'm willing to try if you are.

That's a great point to make in the Steemit Beta phase, esp coming from a top dog. While I can see many meaning it simply as a respectful gesture meaning that they respect your time, it could also be used in a manipulative way. 
Unless a user specifically states such an offer "send me x SBD and I will..." thinking it's okay to send people money for results of any kind is ultimately presumptive. Asking first would be best. Bernie's post is really a great way of this precedent established on Steemit tho.

Made me laugh out loud, I know how many people have asked me to vote on their posts. Can only imagine how annoying it must be to look at your wallet and see hundreds of 0.001 SBD transactions with begging.

I popped into see who berniesanders is, I've read so much about you that I wanted to see if I had read anything you have written.  What I am. pleased to see after reading this post your a man who sticks to his principles  and has some pride he can't be bought. Well I guess a "Thank you for the upvote" message falls in the transaction memo category so I ll just have to write it here; Thank you @berniesanders . For what is worth, my work is well published in my country but I still got sad when my posts went unnoticed and I still got like a thousand heartbeats from excitement when you and  other users upvoted them out of nowhere. Not sure why people mock those who asked for your attention, who doesn t want the applause of a demanding audience? ( But ok I agree the Promote button is more chic than bribery).

I dont know why they waste their SBD that way. I have also notice that i got a couple to. Newer vote does.

It should be a minimum transfer limit on SBD, so we dont see that kind of spam. Ewery one with alot of power get this spam or wath we should caal it  :-p

consider a custom limit for acceptance of SBD, for example not less than 100 SBD or even a ban on the reception of SBD
