If others see value in something I create, would hope they would hook a brotha up with a vote but I have a hard time with tooting my own horn.

It's not a popular opinion or one that lends to the acquisition of power but just the way I think. If my content blows donkey dicks, it ~~don't deserve~~ should not receive votes so I can learn to be better.

Hi bernie. I don't self vote and rather hand my votes out. Yes I am a small account but you can use it as a tool to grow your followers and support base which actually benefits you more.

I'm really not very good at buying steem. I would like to learn a little more about this world of cryptocurrencies.

But Trevon complained about you upvoting your own content.

I still find that funny now though lol.

Buy STEEM, power up and upvote the most that you can, then rewards will start floating in to your account, author and curation rewards!!

I actually don't post as much now. I think I should try to upvote my own posts. Then again, my votes are only worth ~$0.07 each, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I am getting double the vote input for curation with my tiny votes, though.

Sounds pretty fair to me...

i don't see anything wrong with it. When i make a post i already know who is about to upvote and that is because the majority don't upvote-search manually and the interface isn't helping too.

If i don't appreciate myself and the time i spent with at least my 10 cents  worth of upvote who will do? 

On the other hand though if someone only upvotes his stuff that are single pictures or copy/paste things then i am against it. I really don't even care if he upvotes himself with 100$, in my opinion all he has to do is at the same time to support projects or cast some upvotes to other users too!

I think that solves the distribution issue faster.
We would have a middle class by now and could be raising the soft cap, imo.

No 'real' investor pays 10usd for what 1sp gives, the selfvoting return doesn't add up.

My ideal investors are celebrities, but they wont buy into a scheme that doesnt help the little guys.
Until we gather a big enough crowd to interest them, why would they?

We gather a crowd by rewarding proof of brain, and not proof of wallet, imo.

I wouldn't mind growing my account rapidly, and I would definitely need the money to survive, but I can't afford to invest in Steem. So that's the first problem I have before I could even think about doing something like that.

My second problem, is that I'd rather focus on others. No matter how flawed the system might seem to be, or despite how others may act.

As long as I give I will also get. That's the true power and the real beauty of this system. That's why I have delegated my powers to others, free of charge, for several months. That is also why I am the co-founder of the @asapers, a small, yet effective manual curation team that focus on the newcomers.

That being said, I'm sorry for how things have turned out here, but I'm not ready to give up. Steemit have given me the opportunity to change my own life, financially, which I'm very grateful for... But during that same time, I have the opportunity to help others too. And that's what I love the most about this platform. 

I just wish that everyone would see what I see too.
