Relationship are complex. They are composed of moving parts with emotion and different ideas of what is logical or normal. Desires and goals can change. The key to keep everything in check is communication. The moving parts are, of course, the people that compose the relationship.

Once the rosy lenses are taken off the eyes, there is some reality to be taken with caution. Work schedules, hobbies, interests, likes and dislikes, do's and don'ts. All these are to be discussed and an agreement must be reached. I like to think as love as the freedom shared amongst people. But it is freedom, not debauchery. Our rights always end at the beginning of someone else rights.

While having a coffee a day the same day @octocel returned from a trip, it was obvious our honeymoon phase had come to a close. What comes next is perhaps the most interesting part of a relationship, dealing with the realities that comes the whole thing. We did not talk too much about it that day. However, it was obvious there was a conversation coming our way.

Discomforts and other issues where there at hand. We sat to have our coffee and I listened to the details about her trip. There were some mentions about stores that sell cheaper stuff in other places. That one is very common as transportation makes everything pricier.

The idea of having the conversation came after the coffee. But I did not want to budge into something that would take time during her busy runs of work. I waited for the time to have it. And it came. Things are in order and we continue to be around for each other as long as the busy lifestyles give us room to accommodate a date or something else. We keep adding things to the to-do list. That one is looking longer these days. But we plan on going through all the activities at least once.

We need our sips of black coffee from time to time. Not only in romantic relationships, but in any kind of relationship that is a part of our life. It is a way to address the dynamics of certain interactions and make sure we are not grinding each other to dust through discomfort or unaddressed issues.
