I started using glasses before going to college. I think it was around 2009 or 2010. They were simple glasses and the idea was having protection from the blue light of screens. Those were my gamer years and I did use those glasses a lot. They served their purpose and around 8 years after that I got the second pair. 

They were the same king of model and served the same purpose. More protection from blue light and the kind of glasses to use only when sitting in front on the computer for hours. Those were the days of my freelance jobs. I even think I bought those glasses with some payment of those jobs. I bought a laptop and a phone. Those served their purpose as well. A week ago I put those glasses to rest.

Two weeks ago, while celebrating children's day, my mom took me to the optometrist and we got another pair of glasses commissioned. This time while going the exam, I got the warning that my left eye has gotten worse. Not so much. I have never used any kind of formula for my eyes. I can see well from afar and close. Not so close or my eyes lose focus, but you cannot see things that are right on your nose.

Anyways, after fiddling with the exam. The optometrist told me she was it going to get me any formula if I could read the smallest letters in the exam without any trouble. That would mean getting my sight worse. Sometimes, my eyes lose focus, but that is normal of spending hours looking at a screen. I just get up and do something else that does not require my eyes to get strained.

So I got a new pair of glasses with the same treatment, protective from blue light and no formula. This time, I went for a different shape of glasses. And I think they look cool.

I wanna see how many years these last.
