Todavía quedan lugares en la ciudad de Cumaná dónde algo de la belleza trata de mantenerse viva a pesar del descuido. Estos girasoles están plantados en una venta de hortalizas. Hace tiempo parece que recibían mejores cuidados. Parece que el paso del tiempo y la falta de agua ha hecho mella en su aspecto. 

Esto es algo común en una ciudad bañada por el salitre. No se puede hacer nada por eso. Al menos, un atisbo de belleza todavía se mantiene aquí. Esto durará hasta acabarse. ¿Quién sabe cuánto tiempo le tome.

There's still places in th city where beauty is tainted but not undone. Neglect is the greatest foe. These sunflowers are part of the ornaments in a goreceries sale. Long ago, when the business started, they were under better care. That isn't the rule anymore. It seems like they haven't been watered for some time.

Though this is common in s city that's under the maws of the sounding sea. There's nothing to do about it. A glimpse of beauty still remains. It will last until it is undone. Who knows for how long

Si se ven como afectados, pero capaz sean el tiempo de vida que tienen, cuando ya tienen mucho tiempo y pasan a ser cipsela pueden verse así. Lo digo también porque las hojas no parecen presentar clorosis, hay que revisar bien eso. Lo que si que los girasoles son unas inflorescencias espectaculares.

Sabes los dientes de león? Bueno ese es un tipo de fruto de las asteraceae q es la familia de los girasoles. La mayoría de los girasoles sus frutos son las semillas de girasol que se suelen comer, pero hay variedades que su fruto es como los dientes de león que el viento los dispersa. Lo otro es que lo que se cree un girasol es una flor y en realidad es una inflorescencias tipo capitulo, son montón de florecitas, lo que parecen los pétalos son las flores femeninas y en el centro están las hermafroditas que son las que suelen formar las semillas de girasol.

La primera fotografía es una locura de preciosidad, no dejo de admirarla...quizás sea porque el girasol es mi flor favorita o porque simplemente parece de esas fotografías brutales merecedoras de ser protagonistas en una portada de revista, sea como sea...¡qué fotografía tan brutal! Ahora, viendo como poco a poco se fueron marchitan los girasoles, siento como si de fondo se escuchara: _Como la flor con tanto amor. Me diste tú, se marchitó_.
