The Weekend of the Craftsman; or Another day Another Chance to Learn.
<div class="text-justify">
This week has been a busy one. Having to go out almost every day to do something. Things have happened too. So, I've been out buying things for the workshop and finish a cuatro while getting ready to close another one. My grandmother has cut a finger. My father slip on the street and hit his head on car. Mom looks more fed up than ever. Who wouldn't?

*This is an actual picture of my mindscape trying to balance all these*

Let's go with the first point. I've been rushing to end a cuatro. It isn't going to get to its owner until next year, but having it on hold doesn't seem right. I went to buy polish and more sandpaper. The finish got to its great shiny result. It was beautiful. However, I made a mistake gluing the bridge and trying to fix it on the instrument was a mess. Truth be told, I had to unglue it. This is an ugly process, but I managed without damaging the finish gravely.

This is the issue with rushing this things. Well, I'll take this a practice to make maintenance to a instrument. Ungluing the bridge is another skill needed. You never when there's a broken bridge needing replacement. So, at least that's my silver lining on this problem. The issue is having it re-glued and hoping it doesn't have any more problems. I tested the strings on it before doing this whole thing and found some issues on sound. Hopefully, my new outtake its height will solve the problem. So, fingers crossed for this issue.

I'll go ahead and move onto the falling father issue because it happened when we were out and I was looking for stuff downtown. So, I know they were at the mechanic (our car has been having problems to start and after a lot of work on it, well the problem is gas, but that's an issue of its own, maybe rant-worthy). I got this call when I was going to buy some wood to make a plane. "Your father slip and hit his head". I thought this was a joke, but then I got onto thinking my father has been affected heavily by the lack of work and his inability to get something to do. So, his idleness has taken a told on this head. Not that he's been very sharp all this life, but now he has this tendency to stop in the middle of somewhere looking at his phone like a drone, unaware of his surroundings.

I don't know what happened. Mom was looking elsewhere when it did. Not even the guys at the workshop know for sure. But he got a foot in a gutter and went down hitting his head on a car. I think he got lucky because a car might have stomp him. That street tends to have a fair amount of traffic. What annoys me is the fact that I can bet my HIVE blog he fell because he was going like a dumb guy walking around with his phone.

I hoped the hit would have reset this dumbness, but far from it, he's been even worse since. Who knows what's the next stupid thing to come out of his pocket.

About the finger cut, well, an incident like this happened before. I was living with my grandparents during 2019 and working online when it happened. But I wasn't at the house on that particular moment. Grandma kept trying to hide the cut until she couldn't anymore. The theory is that she did it while cutting fish. So, the infection made it clear she couldn't hide a swollen finger. At some point she burst into fever and she had to go to the medic. They had to take off the skin of her finger to clean that. That sounds painful. Must feel worse. Now, she's done it again, but this time we might have caught it early. Grandma is diabetic, so any injury is at risk of becoming an issue. Mom has gone away to stay with her and take care of the thing. Hopefully, she will be fine. Or that's what I hope. She's been absent lately. But she's old, been working her entire life and well, I think bodies and minds can only take so much.

I've been having to take in more and more these complaints my mother has about life. It's not like I haven't in the past. This has been my job since I have memory. But I'm not the favorite child. I'm the trouble child, so I still don't know why I need to carry it. There's been talk about divorce and change of environment. She mentioned something about a trip and some savings and I still have no clue about one thing or the other. However, something tells me there's a lot more sh*t coming this way. The kind of stuff I don't need and well it's always on the order of the day.

I hope for a lax weekend next week, but only time will tell.</div>

Sometimes you can find a place of calm in the storm, but sometimes you just have to hang on and ride it out as best you can. I hope your father and grandmother recover.

My father is a piece of work. There's nothing to reclaim or recover there. Grandma is ok. Not as sharp as she used to, but that's something that happens to some people with age. About the storm, well, I think it's one of those situations where one needs to brace oneself for the upcoming seas and winds. Thank you for your time.
