I truly believe that one of the ways to get to know people is by trying their culinary art; Argentina is recognized throughout the world for being the sixth producer of beef, with an internal consumption of 50 kilos per capita. However, the country, mainly its capital, consumes an extraordinary amount of pizza in all its flavors and forms, around 14 million in some 1,200 specialized pizzerias.

Creo, en verdad, que una de las formas de conocer a un pueblo es probando su arte culinario; Argentina es reconocida en el mundo entero por ser la sexta productora de carne de res, con un consumo interno de 50 kilos per cápita. Sin embargo, el país, principalmente su capital, consume una cantidad extraordinaria de pizzas en todos sus sabores y formas, alrededor de 14 millones en unas 1200 pizzerías especializadas.

Today, together with my sister, her son, and other relatives, who recently went to the place, we will dedicate ourselves to visiting an iconic and very popular pizzeria called Güerrin, a Genoese word that refers to a kind of vigilante, Robin Hood-type, who took the rich to give to the poor, which cannot be taken literally, because even though the prices are affordable, they don't give anything away to anyone. It is capable of producing, in its 5 wood-fired ovens, some 1,500 pizzas a day.

Hoy nos dedicaremos a visitar, conjuntamente con mi hermana, su hijo y demás familiares, quienes visitaron el lugar recientemente, una icónica y muy popular pizzería llamada Güerrín, palabra genovesa que alude a una especie de justiciero, tipo Robin Hood, que le quitaba a los ricos para darle a los pobres, lo cual no puede tomarse literalmente, porque a pesar de que los precios son asequibles, no regalan nada a nadie. Es capaz de producir, en sus 5 hornos a leña, unas 1500 pizzas diarias.

The pizzeria, which has no branches, opened its doors in 1932, 90 years ago, on Corrientes Avenue, with a bar where customers eat slices of one or more of the 70 types of pizza standing up; In addition, it has three rooms on the ground floor, on the mezzanine and one floor above, which can serve up to 450 seated guests. The founders and owners of the place, Arturo and Guido, are of Genoese origin. The Güerrin pizzas are recognized for consisting of thick dough, mold, and a lot of cheese.

The structure is built with ceramics, granites, Venetian mosaics, with a decoration in wood, bronze angles, and travertine marble, among other materials, that give it a peculiar aesthetic. Its owners have dedicated themselves to preserving and even eternalizing the original style of the premises; in fact, the recently inaugurated "Patio Napolitano" preserves the family resemblance of the entire construction. The place is considered a monument to pizza, and it is worth noting that it was founded years before the construction of the Obelisk, with which it shares being an icon of the city.

La estructura está construida con cerámicas, granitos, mosaicos venecianos, con una decoración en madera, ángulos de bronce y mármol travertino entre otros materiales que le dan una estética peculiar. Sus propietarios se han dedicado a conservar e incluso eternizar el estilo original del local; de hecho, el recién inaugurado "Patio Napolitano" conserva el aire de familia de toda la construcción.
