A different kind of encounter
**A few weeks ago, I was working seeing patients. It was a rather typical day.**

I went in to see one of my regular patients. We were talking and I examined him and as we were wrapping up the encounter, he reached into his pocket and said "here, I want you to have this"

**He went on to say that it is a St. Michael, the Archangel, piece and that Michael is the angel of protection which is why he wanted me to have it.**

As soon as he handed it to me I knew that it was a silver bar, and I told him that I couldn't take something that expensive from him, and he went on to say that a couple of years ago he purchased 50 of the pieces and he gives them to people that make a difference in his life.

**I was taken back by the gesture, and was truly humbled that he felt he should share one with me.**

I went on and told him that I am a collector of silver and that this piece really means a lot to me.

The Archangel Michael is the protector of all things holy. He is mentioned in Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha'i faith.  He represents power and authority over evil.

The silver bar itself is a striking well detailed peice from the Scottsdale Mint. I would of course, not expect anything less from them.

I have a few silver pieces that have special meaning to me and now this piece has joined that rank.

I have occasionally recieved little gifts and trinkets from my patients over the years but this one is extra special.
