Today I want to talk to you about a movie that surprised me quite pleasantly, I'm usually not too much of a fan of thrillers, however, Pearl not only generates suspense but at the end it leaves you with a strange feeling of unease. Let's break this movie down to understand why it is so good.

<p>Pearl is a girl who lives on the family farm with her father (who is a paraplegic) and her strict and resentful mother. Her husband is away at war so Pearl feels sad and frustrated as she dreams of being a professional dancer and getting out of that life of hard work. Although she married a man who inherited a large fortune, he decided to give it up to live on Pearl's family farm, which fills her with frustration because it does not allow her to fulfill her dreams.</p></div>

>Pearl es una muchacha que vive en la granja familiar con su padre (que esta parapléjico) y su madre, una estricta y resentida mujer. Su marido está en la guerra por lo que Pearl se siente triste y frustrada ya que sueña con ser bailarina profesional y salir de esa vida de trabajo duro. Aunque se casó con un hombre heredero de una gran fortuna, este decidió renunciar a ella para vivir en la granja de la familia de Pearl, lo que la llena de frustración porque eso no le permite cumplir sus sueños.

<p>I love the shots and the color palette of this film. I find it curious that being a film of the suspense genre, the color palette is so warm and colorful but at the same time this resource generates a certain sense of unease in the viewer and builds the feeling that something is not right so that the tragic outcome has more impact.

>Amo los planos y la paleta de colores de esta película. Me resulta curioso que siendo una película del género suspenso, la paleta de colores resulte tan cálida y colorida, pero a su vez este recurso genera cierta sensación de inquietud en el espectador y va construyendo esa sensación de que algo no está bien para que el desenlace trágico tenga más impacto

<p>The shots are also very good, my favorites are the subjective ones and those in close up where Pearl appears in the foreground killing. It is one of the best worked aspects of the film.</p></div>

<p>I have no complaints in this regard, the script is very good in itself but the performances are very well adapted to this and also manages to enhance it. Mia Goth does an excellent job playing Pearl, especially considering that this film is a prequel to "X" and clearly as a prequel she has the responsibility to give more depth to the protagonist and provide context for the viewer to understand why the protagonist is the way she is. Excellent work</p></div>

>No tengo ninguna queja a este aspecto, el guion está muy bien de por si pero las actuaciones se adaptan muy bien a este y además logra realzarlo. Mia Goth hace un trabajo excelente encarnando a Pearl más teniendo en cuenta que esta película es una precuela de "X" y claramente como precuela tiene la responsabilidad de darle más profundidad a la protagonista y dar contexto para que el espectador entienda porque la protagonista es como es. Excelente trabajo

<p>It is a delight to listen to, it doesn't even seem to accompany a suspense movie, it is the same as with the cinematography, it is unlike what is expected of a movie of its genre, at most, it can be mysterious, but never disturbing or frightening (except for maybe a few chords that accompany certain scenes, the most dramatic ones). It is worth listening to, here is an example of it:</p></div>

>Es una delicia auditiva ni siquiera parece acompañar una película de suspenso, pasa lo mismo que con la fotografía, es dispar a lo que se espera de una película de su género, a lo mucho, puede llegar a ser misteriosa, pero jamás inquietante o atemorizante (salvo por quizá unos cuantos acordes que acompañan determinadas escenas, las más dramáticas) Es digno de oír, a continuación un ejemplo de ello:
