Say "NO" To Coal Powered Energy

Recently there has been a lot of talks regarding the government plans to use coal as an alternative source to generate electricity for Sabah. This plan has indeed received many criticism not only from individuals or the NGOs, but also from the officers within the government itself.

Coal Powered Power Stations are a thing of the past, firstly built in 1882 by Thomas Edison. The advance of technology for the past few decades, people are  now talking about renewable energy which can be naturally replenished. Fossil fuels such as gas and coal will not last forever, but natural resources such as wind, sunlight and water will always be available, and should be utilised instead to generate energy and electricity.

Implementing a Coal Powered Station is a backstep in technology. Besides, this old technology emits many pollutants and are known to contribute to Global Warming and Climate Change. WWF-Malaysia has strongly opposed to this plan, and questions Malaysia commitments to reduce Global Warming.

It was also mentioned that there are an abundance of coal that can be mined at Maliau Basin (Sabah's Lost World). Maliau Basin is a Conservation Area described as one of the few remaining relatively untouched wilderness areas in the world. Mining coal at Maliau Basin will surely undermine the region's environment and ecosystem. Mining for coal is a definitive "NO!".

Hi...., God topic and yes we have advance technology Today and Today we will get electricity, but it will make the atmosphere worse that we turn off the electricity produced from coal.
