A lot of the reason I've not been posting and commenting so much lately is because I've been busy with a new addition to the family--Skye Bell, the puppy in this picture. Additionally Shawnee, the adult in this picture, has been struggling with some health issues. So lots of stress and not so much time near my computer. And it can be difficult to man the camera while managing three dogs. But the other day I got this shot and I think it might work artistically, not just because I think the look on Skye's face is adorable and because I'm happy Shawnee was well enough for some playing.

I pledge the SBD payout of this post to @tarc to support their animal rescue efforts. They have constant expenses and vet bills for animals who haven't been as lucky as Skye and Shawnee to end up with someone able to care for their needs and willing to put their needs first. With Shawnee's health problems, we've gotten a lot of vet bills ourselves, but luckily we're able to make ends meet anyway if we tighten our belts for a while, despite the unexpected expenses. But these animals in @tarc's care have needs that can't be met without outside support.
