Monomad Macro Monday and Monochrome Monday: Lichen

Of course I chose lichen for today's shot. You don't just get rid of an obsession like that. This one is actually taken b&w on the camera, but I did crop it and tweak the levels just a smidgen after.

This lichen patch is one of many growing on the copper beech in our backyard. I was out helping my husband trim some branches and, of course, managed to turn it into a lichen photo shoot.
