Como madre aprendí a amar las películas animadas, cuando nuestros hijos son pequeños no hay más remedio que ver las películas que les gustan y pueden ver. Mis hijos van creciendo y seguimos viendo este tipo de películas, tanto que este fin de semana fuimos al cine y como no había tanta variedad de opciones para la familia en general, tuvimos que ver una película animada. 

La mayoría de las películas que se proyectaban eran para un público adulto y las opciones que pudimos elegir fueron Thor: Amor y Trueno pero ya la habíamos visto en casa, Spiderman: Sin Camino a Casa que por cierto la están repitiendo en los canales de HBO este mes casi cada 4 horas, Avatar del 2009 que volvió a los cines ya que Avatar 2 se estrenará en diciembre de este año, Minions: Ha nacido un villano y DC League of Superpets. Como podras imaginar nos inclinamos por la última opción. 

La película que hemos elegido trata de Krypto, la mascota de Superman. Este perro viajó con el superhéroe desde Krypton cuando eran bebés y desde entonces son los mejores amigos y hacen todo juntos, incluso combatir el mal. Krypto también tiene habilidades y en algunos casos más poderosas que las de Superman.

Cuando Superman planea proponerle matrimonio a su novia Lois Lane y siente la necesidad de pasar tiempo a solas con ella, se le ocurre la idea de adoptar una nueva mascota para hacerle compañía a Krypto, que es celoso y absorbente. En el refugio de animales, Kripto conoce a Ace, un perro cascarrabias pero leal. 


Como toda historia tiene un antagonista, en este caso también es una mascota o eso cree ella. La villana es una conejillo de indias llamada Lulu, fue probada con Kriptonita de varios colores en los laboratorios de Lex Luthor sabiendo que el color verde es la debilidad de Superman, el morado produce calvicie y el naranja proporciona poderes exclusivamente a las mascotas.

La acción comienza cuando Lulu desde el refugio arrastra a la tierra un fragmento de Kryptonita naranja, que tiene efecto sobre ella y un grupo de animales compuesto por Ace, la tortuga Merton, el cerdo PB y la ardilla Chip, que también adquieren poderes.

Lulu secuestra a Superman y al resto de la Liga de la Justicia, además de dejar sin poderes a Kryto, que debe buscar la ayuda de los demás animales afectados por la kriptonita para crear su propia Liga de Supermascotas y rescatar a los superhéroes, mientras Lulu también reúne a su ejército de malvados conejillos de indias.

En conclusión me pareció una película sencilla sin ningún mensaje profundo aparte del amor y la lealtad de las mascotas, para los niños es una película divertida y todos en el cine disfrutaron y se rieron. Los padres también lo hicimos con algunas de las escenas ingeniosas.


Una de las cosas que me llamó la atención y que comentamos a la salida fue que Superman no hizo nada en toda la película. Claro, entiendo que los protagonistas son las mascotas pero en algunas escenas los superhéroes de la liga de la justicia entraban en acción, mientras que para mí Superman siempre tenía que ser salvado por Krypto y es una pena porque es mi Super héroe favorito.

Otra cosa que me gustaría comentar es que todo el mundo habló de la película de Disney, Buzz Lightyear donde en una escena muy corta se ven dos mujeres besándose. Pues bien, en esta película también hay dos mujeres que aunque no se besen, se entiende que son pareja. Creo que debemos acostumbrarnos a estas escenas porque cada día serán más, hasta que un día se conviertan en la norma. Así que lo único que podemos hacer como padres es educar a nuestros hijos para que esto no cause confusión en sus vidas. 

Sólo puedo decirles que si lo que quieres es pasar un rato agradable con tus hijos, esta es una muy buena opción, a los pequeños de la casa les encantarán los superpoderes de las mascotas e incluso discutirán sobre cuál es la mejor para ellos. Eso es lo que hicieron mis hijos.

My children are growing up and we still continue to watch this type of movies, so much so that this weekend we went to the movies and since there was not so much variety of options according to the family in general, we had to watch an animated movie. 

Most of the movies being shown were for an adult audience and the options we could choose from were Thor: Love and Thunder but we had already seen it at home, Spider-Man: No Way Home which by the way is being repeated on HBO channels this month almost every 4 hours, Avatar from 2009 which returned to theaters since Avatar 2 will be released in December of this year, Minions: A Villain is Born and DC League of Superpets. As you can imagine we are leaning towards the last option. 

The movie we have chosen is about Krypto, Superman’s pet. This dog traveled with the superhero from Krypton when they were babies and since then they are best friends and do everything together, even fight evil. Krypto also has abilities and in some cases more powerful than Superman.

In conclusion I found it to be a simple movie with no deep message other than love and loyalty of pets, for kids it is a fun movie and everyone in the theater enjoyed and laughed. We parents did too with some of the witty scenes.


One of the things that caught my attention and that we commented on on the way out was that Superman did nothing in the whole movie. Sure, I understand that the main characters are the mascots but in some scenes the superheroes of the justice league would come into action, while for me Superman always had to be saved by Krypto and it’s a shame because he’s my favorite Super hero.
