This time my season is going better than the last season because the rewards have been quite good. So far I hope that this time by the end of the season, I will probably collect 60000 glint tokens. Very interesting battles are taking place and I am having a lot of fun too. Yes, my ratings are not able to go that high, but I am trying to learn as many things as possible and implement them in my next battle. It is not possible to do anything smoothly. We come up with many strategies but they are not very successful every time. Sometimes some things become successful but sometimes we have to face defeat and in this way, we keep learning slowly and keep updating our skills continuously.

As you might have come to know from the topic of the post what I want to talk about today, what I will talk about in this post is a special ability and if you get `Briar Patch`rule set then how can you defend yourself in it or I should say how can you perform well. Well, those who are old players and those who are new as well, if they have read the section on abilities and rule sets then they must have come to know what is there in this ability, still if you don't know then you can get more information about it from here. 





[`Briar Patch`](https://support.splinterlands.com/hc/en-us/articles/12277926831508-Thorns)(All units receive the Thorns ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that use melee attacks receive damage back.)

> * Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
> * Melee attack units with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from thorns.
> * The Amplify ability increases damage.



Well, whenever you get the `Briar Patch` rule set, then you should at least not use melee monsters on the battle or I should say summoners. You should use summoners and monsters who have magic or range abilities because if you use such monsters then there is no danger to you (most of the time ), this will be a positive point for you and in this way your chances of winning increase. Well, I like playing with magic cards a lot, whenever I get a chance I do the same, but every time it becomes a little difficult but still, I still enjoy playing with them a lot.

As you can see, most of the cards were the magic cards in my line. Maybe after this, it became a little easier for me to win the battle. Yes, my first master was a male master. That's why I chose him because the battle mana was quite high and I was able to use only a few cards. So I was having difficulty deciding which card to choose. So I decided to choose this card in the first position. Which was not a good decision, but still I was sure that the cards that were in my back line would prove to be very useful in this battle and I was sure that I could win this battle by using more and more magic cards. By the way, in any battle you play, you should keep in mind that you are using cards whose speed is high and whose health is high as well. This thing matters a lot. Yes, if their attacking abilities are also high, then it is even better. But first, you should focus on their speed and their health. If all these things are high, then in such a case, the chances of winning the battle are high. 



As you can see in this battle, the speed of most of my cards is very high, due to which I got a lot of help because many opponents attacks were missed in the attack, which proved to be very beneficial for me and in such a situation, I blocked many attacks in a way, you can say that I stopped them, which proved to be very beneficial for me in the battle. Although magic cards cannot be used everywhere, if you get a chance, you must use them because magic cards have many advantages the first advantage is that magic cards attack directly on health and not on the farmer, which proves to be very beneficial. In any battle, if the opponent uses more melee monsters, then it can be beneficial for you, yes this does not happen every time because sometimes the opponent can come with very powerful melee monsters, due to which your Maya Masters can be finished in a single attack.

Everything depends on what kind of rule sets you are playing in and what cards you have, what abilities you have, how much health you have, how much speed you have, it matters a lot and if you understand all these things then things become very easy for you. To be honest, I enjoy Battleship a lot and I also enjoy trying new strategies a lot. If you have new cards then there is a different fun in making new strategies with them. I have more experience of playing with old cards and I like them because I have become used to them. Yes, sometimes I also try new cards and some cards are very amazing.



As you can see at the end of the battle, I was able to beat only one card but I finished the entire line of my opponent and you can see from the better link given below how speed helped me a lot in this battle. Although my rating is not increasing much I am trying my best, let's see what happens next, that's all for today.
