If I talk about the players of upper league, then they follow a different strategy. You can go to the leader board and check their battles to see what kind of cards they play with and what their strategy is. You will be surprised that even with a very basic guard, they can make very good battles because in the higher leagues, they have almost all the max-level cards, and they get a lot of benefits.

See, my strategy is very simple: I use a tank in the first position, and after that, most of my cards are magic monsters. If I don't use magic, then I use cards with sneak and snap and opportunity ability. See, these play a very good role in any battle. And if I use my master in the second position, then I take care that he should have the ability reach ability, which helps me a lot. See, my strategy is very simple, the tank should stay in the battle till the end and the monsters  at the back should support him in a way or others who keep wiping out the opponent's card, see, whenever you use cards with opportunity ability, then they prove to be very helpful because they target the cards with low health of the opponent and the cards with the nag ability target the last card of the opponent, which proves to be very helpful in the battle.

As you can see, I am using this type of strategy in this battle, and I use this type of strategy most of the time. I am not able to go that high in terms of rank, but I enjoy doing battles a lot, and I do everything manually here. See, you can also use bots if you play wild format. if you like to play modern, then you are not allowed to use any type of board because the rewards there are very good. Now, you can also try the survival mode.
