Nice post.   I struggle keeping they habit.  I just want to up vote lol.  The other challenge is voting when a post is new verses when it's at six days.   Been trying to figure out which is best.

Once you have enough SP, then ypur upvotes get a slider. I prefer to vote lower-power and more often so that I spread it around more and encourage the other Steemians.

Great post. I just looked and I'm at 98%. As a newbie, a silly question. Should I keep up-voting posts until I hit 80%, then recharge or is it better to stay in the upper 90s?

Great Post! I was wondering why some posts are $0.01 and others are $0.00. New here and did not know that my votes were based on a percentage chart. I thought I was giving away my earned steem to great content creators. THANK YOU! Makes much more sense now! :)

Very helpful post and tips especially to members like me who are  newbies on Steemit.

There is an effective mathematics to control misuse of voting feature as well as to ensure genuine quality voting.
So I must study that mathematics properly and have to take proper care on voting

I'm no Steem expert by any means, but surely spreading fear about voting is detrimental to the Steemit ecosystem? 

If people are reluctant to vote, authors won't be rewarded for contributions. It's already hard enough to gain any traction on this platform without people feeling like voting is "spending".

Perhaps I'm naive, but if Steemit is a game of chasing algorithmic  quirks and nuances, I don't want to play it. It's the algorithm's responsibility to encourage participation not our responsibility to learn to game the system.

This will be a rare case where I will choose NOT to research further -- I'll just vote and contribute as I please and hope the Steemit algorithms are able to reward people fairly.
