Why I'm powering up. Almost 1ksp and time to grow.

<center>If you had of asked me 6 months ago I would of said I would never put another dollar into Steem that I earn from elsewhere but recently that has changed. I've gotten my faith in Steemit back and I'm actively trying to grow again.

Today I hit 900 SP, to some it is nothing to others it's more than they would ever have, to me it isn't really anything. An arbitrary number for now. It is however an example that I am able to grow my account and that's important because I've decided that is my new goal. I hope to hit 10k SP within the next year, either through buying Steem or posting rewards, preferably the latter. One way or the other I plan on getting it done.

With the upcoming introduction of SMT's, the recent Netcoins listing win and various other factors I'm beginning to believe Steem may actually have a future. It showed the community really is there to pull together when needed and at the end of the day that is going to be a key factor in ensuring the success of the platform. That in and of itself gives me enough faith to put the money I earn from my day job into it.

The best part about Steemit is the ability to compound your earnings to continuously grow. Basically the more you grow the faster you grow. The more you put back into it the more you can get from it, either from your own self votes, curation, selling your vote or whatever other method you use.

Aside from growing my own account I'm hoping to create a curation account for animal related posts. Not really for profit but to help other people with similar interests and to increase the size of my network. I would also like to find a way to use Steemit to help more animals and wildlife. It would be amazing to have an international network of people working together using Steemit to help animals.

Anyway for now that's all I have to say but I'm hoping you watch this space for good things to come. And if not well, fuck it. I tried. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
