Hello everyone, friends. After a few unpleasant and troubled days, my motivation to write with good news finally came back. That's why I want to tell you about a trip I took with my husband last week. This is Güvercinada Island in Aydın's Kuşadası district.🏝️

*Herkese merhaba arkadaşlar. Tatsız ve sıkıntılı geçen bir kaç günün ardından nihayet güzel haberlerle yazı yazma motivasyonum geri geldi. Bu yüzden sizlere geçtiğimiz hafta eşimle yaptığımız bir geziden bahsetmek istiyorum. Burası Aydın'ın Kuşadası ilçesine bağlı Güvercinada Adası*.🏝️

The castle on Güvercinada Island was built by Hacı İlyas Ağa in 1826, as we understand from the inscription at the entrance of the island. In the earthquake that occurred in 1850, great damage occurred in the city, including the castle. It went through several repairs in the 1970s. Restoration of the castle started in 2012 and was completed in 2013. A very high inscription hangs at the entrance of the castle. The translation of this inscription was written on an information board in front of the entrance door. Information is given about where the construction of the castle started, where the stones used in its construction came from and by whom. He also wrote a lot of praise and prayers to the person who built the castle.🏰

*Adanın girişindeki yazıdan okuduğumuz kadarıyla Güvercinada Adasında ki Kale 1826 yılında Hacı İlyas Ağa tarafından inşa ettirilmiş.
1850 yılında yaşanan bir depremde kale dahil kentte büyük hasarlar meydana gelmiş. 1970'li yıllarda çeşitli onarımlar geçirmiş. Kalenin restorasyonu 2012 yılında başlamış ve 2013 yılında tamamlanmış. Kalenin girişinde oldukça yüksekte asılı bir kitabe bulunuyordu. Bu kitabenin çevirisini giriş kapısının önünde bir bilgilendirme panosuna yazılmıştı. Kalenin yapılmaya başlanmasıyla, yapımında kullanılan taşların nereden geldiğiyle ve kim tarafından yapıldığıyla ilgili bilgiler vardı. Kaleyi yaptıran kişiye de bol övgülü sözler ve dualar yazıyordu*.🏰

Although Güvercinada Castle looks quite small from the outside, we realized that it is quite large when we entered inside and started to tour. Since this place is an island, it had a magnificent view with the blue of the sea surrounding it and the greenery of the plants in it. It was very enjoyable to observe the unique meeting of green and blue here once again. All the features I loved seemed to be gathered here. Sea, nature and history...🌊🏖️🏛️

*Güvercinada Kalesini dışarıdan oldukça küçük gibi görünse de içine girip gezmeye başladığımızda epey geniş olduğunu fark ettik. Burası ada olduğu için etrafındaki denizin mavisi ve içindeki bitkilerin yeşilliği ile muhteşem bir görünüme sahipti. Yeşilin ve mavinin eşsiz buluşmasını bir kez daha burada gözlemlemek çok keyifliydi. Sevdiğim bütün özellikler sanki burada toplanmıştı. Deniz, doğa ve tarih*...🌊🏖️🏛️

Although we wanted very much to enter the Güvercinada Castle, its door was locked. After visiting the statue of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha and the lighthouse in front, we wandered around the shady back of the castle. In the back, the roar of the sea winds hitting the castle walls and the sound of the waves could be felt better. After visiting every corner carefully, we wanted to sit and rest for a while in a sunny place. On the day we visited, we met local and foreign tourists here as well. It makes me very happy that such structures attract attention.🌍

*Güvercinada Kalesi'ne girmeyi çok istesekte kapısı kilitliydi. Ön tarafındaki Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa heykelini ve deniz fenerinin etrafını gezdikten sonra kalenin gölgede kalan arka tarafını dolaştık. Arka tarafta denizden esen rüzgarların kalenin duvarlarına çarpan uğultusu ve dalgaların sesleri daha iyi hissediliyordu. Her köşesini dikkatlice gezdikten sonra güneş alan bir yerde biraz oturup dinlenmek istedik. Bizim ziyaret ettiğimiz gün yerli ve yabancı turistlere burada da rastladık. Bu tarz yapıların ilgi görmesi beni oldukça mutlu ediyor*. 🌍

We visited here in the summer last year. However, it was a very hot day. So this trip was a bit tiring. However, as we were both in the winter season and the weather was sunny last week, our trip was more comfortable and enjoyable. However, as it was also affected by the winter season, the parts in the shade were quite cool.🍃

*Buraya geçen yıl yaz ayında da ziyaret etmiştik. Ancak oldukça sıcak bir gündü. Bu yüzden o gezimiz biraz bunaltıcı geçmişti. Ancak geçtiğimiz hafta hem kış ayında olduğumuz için hemde hava güneşli olduğu için gezimiz daha rahat ve daha eğlenceli geçti. Gölgede kalan kısımlar kış mevsiminden etkilendiği için epey serindi*. 🍃
