Hello friends. I have stated in my previous articles that I am sympathetic and interested in the history lesson. Since I love the history course, I want to constantly improve myself in this field. That's why I'm always trying to research and learn. Researching the lives of people who lived in the past is also among my hobbies.

Bu yüzden devamlı bir araştırma ve öğrenme çabası içindeyim. Geçmişte yaşamış insanların hayatlarını araştırmak öğrenmek de hobilerim arasında*.

Today, I would like to tell you about a trip we took in the summer and some historical names that have left their mark in the past. When Yunus Emre is mentioned, his poems and meaningful sentences come to mind. Many of the words he said have been transmitted from language to language for centuries and have survived to the present day. I'm sure most of us remember at least a few good phrases. Some were on information boards. > "Whoever has a beauty, let him know that it is borrowed" is one of them. Yunus Emre gave great importance to the Turkish language and contributed to its development.



*Bugün sizlere yazın yapmış olduğumuz bir geziden ve geçmişte iz bırakmış bazı tarihi isimlerden bahsetmek istiyorum. Yunus Emre deyince aklımıza şiirleri ve söylediği anlamlı cümleleri gelmekte. Söylediği birçok söz yüzyıllardır dillerden dillere aktarılmış, günümüze kadar ulaşmıştır. Eminim birçoğumuzun hafızasında en az birkaç tane güzel cümlesi yer almakta. Bazıları panolarda yazmakta*.

Yunus Emre Türk diline çok önem vermiş ve gelişimine de katkı sağlamış.

When Nasreddin Hodja is mentioned, most of us think of stories containing funny jokes and messages. Because we often come across Nasreddin Hodja in the primary school books of most of us. Especially when Nasreddin Hodja is mentioned, the picture of an old man riding a donkey comes to mind. Nasreddin Hodja is a wise man who we can tell from the sharp answers he gave to the people he met in his stories that he was intelligent and intelligent. As he stared at the wax statue, it seemed as if he would suddenly start talking and spit on us. My husband and I even made a few jokes about it and laughed. As we read and photographed on the information board, Nasreddin Hodja was born in Eskişehir. For this reason, it has become the symbol of Eskişehir. Since my university years were spent in Eskişehir, we often came across Nasreddin Hodja statues on the streets.




*Nasrettin Hoca deyince çoğumuzun aklına komik fıkralar,  mesaj içeren hikayeler gelecektir. Çünkü çoğumuzun ilkokul kitaplarında Nasrettin Hoca'ya sıkça rastlardık. Özellikle Nasrettin Hoca deyince zihnimizde eşeğe ters binmiş yaşlı bir adamın resmi canlanmakta. Hikayelerinde karşılaştığı insanlara verdiği sivri cevaplarla zeki ve akıllı olduğunu anladığımız bilge bir kişidir Nasrettin Hoca. Balmumundan heykellerine bakarken sanki bir anda konuşmaya başlayacak ve bize laf sokacak gibi gelmişti. Hatta bununla ilgili eşimle de birkaç espri yapıp gülmüştük. Nasrettin Hoca bilgilendirme panosundan da okuyup fotoğrafladığımız gibi Eskişehir'de doğmuş. Bu yüzden Eskişehir'in bir simgesi haline gelmiş. Benim üniversite yıllarım Eskişehir'de geçtiği için sokaklarda Nasrettin Hoca heykellerine sıkça rastlamaktaydık*.

I'm sure the first sentence that comes to mind when you hear the name of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi is "Come, come, come again, whatever you are". He is one of the most famous poets and thinkers of the Islamic world. He used love as a philosophy and tried to instill tolerance in humanity. It was as if he would start talking at any moment in his statue here and give us advice on love and tolerance.




*Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi ismini duyduğunuzda aklınıza ilk gelen cümlenin **"Gel gel ne olursan ol yine gel"** olduğuna eminim. Kendisi islam dünyasında tanınmış en ünlü şair ve düşünce adamlarından. Sevgiyi bir felsefe gibi kullanmış ve insanlığa hoşgörüyü aşılamaya çalışmış. Buradaki heykelinde de sanki her an konuşmaya başlayacak ve bize sevgi ile hoşgörü ile ilgili öğütler verecekmiş gibi duruyor*.

When Seyit Battal Gazi is mentioned, our famous actor Cüneyt Arkın, who passed away recently, will come to mind. Most of us grew up with these movies and the line "Battal Gazi is coming". He is a Turkish hero whose name is frequently encountered in Turkish epics. As we understand from the information boards, he is a warrior Turkish elder who lived in the 7th and 8th centuries and made important contributions to the Turkification process of Anatolia.



*Seyit Battal Gazi deyince aklımıza yakın bir tarihte hayatını kaybeden ünlü oyuncumuz Cüneyt Arkın gelecektir. Çoğumuz bu filmlerle ve "savulun Battal Gazi geliyor" repliği ile büyüdük. Türk destanlarında ismine sıkça rastlanılan bir Türk kahramandır. Bilgilendirme panolarından okuduğumuz kadarıyla 7. ve 8. yüzyıllarda yaşamış Anadolu'nun türkleşmesi sürecinde önemli katkıları olmuş savaşçı bir Türk büyüğüdür*.

Alparslan, on the other hand, is the 2nd Sovereign of the Seljuks, who is considered one of the founders of the Great Seljuk State, according to what is written on the information board. As seen in the wax sculpture, he really strikes fear with his imposing stance and sharp gaze.
