### Change

Last night I left the crib to get supplies for Netflix binging and the proverbial Friday night escapades.  I hadn’t stepped out for the day and the chill just hit me smack in my face.  It felt like a late fall coolness that gives you the heads up on a brutal winter creeping up on the horizon.  I smiled inwards knowing that there was not a damn thing I could do about it.  Cognizant of the inevitability of change and endings.

###    Time

Summer didn’t apologize.  It brought the heat and then it vanished quickly.  You either enjoyed it or hid like a hermit in a cave.   Nevertheless the time kept clocking.  We all got older.  Our cells died, some divided, others maintained their survival presence. People moved on and moved off this mortal coil.  Even if the sky fell a lot wouldn’t remember when it did. To forget is our most tragic trait.

### You

Life happens to everybody.  It gets in the way of your most sacred desires.  There’s always a fork in the road taunting you.  What box to open?  Which window to leap from?  It’s a relentless assault on your sanity.  No mystery indeed to the frazzled human condition.
