Happy weekend to you all in this great community, I hope you are doing good and having great time out there, it's weekend and I believe some are out there having fun while some are at work, wherever you may be, just make sure you are having a great time in your respective places. Today I will like to share with you the making of this simple book cover I quickly made for my neighbor's daughter Bible using pieces of left over fabric.

We all know how children can be when it comes to handling things, my neighbor's daughter had her Bible cover torn off and had to hide it so her mum won't find out but unfortunately for her, her mom find out when she was actually looking for something different in the room and she was very angry with her and when I asked, I was told what happened then I told her not to worry, I will help her fix it and they were like how but I told them to give it to me. Then as you all know, I love using pieces of fabric to create so many things, though, I have done the same to my Bible so that makes it so easy for me.

# Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process.

I took the measurements of the length and breath of the Bible which was 9 x 7" then when cutting, I cut out 10 x 9"

I cut out another piece of fabric with 6" added to the right and 6" added to the left

Interfacing was ironed on both fabrics and I placed the small piece on the longer one mid point to mid point

Both sides were folded to the middle just as seen below

Then it was folded backward again on both sides and it was nearly ironed

The small piece was gently removed from the middle and placed on top the folded piece

I took it to the sewing machine and it was sewn round leaving an opening where it can be turned inside out

It was turned inside out through the opening and was top stitched round

Finally, the Bible was placed in it and this is how beautiful it looks.

This was given to my neighbor's daughter (Gift) and she was so happy with the beautiful outcome.
