How I made a drawstring box shaped bag for keeping my sewing threads with the combination of two different pieces fabrics

Happy weekend to you all in this great community and to the lovers of hive, I hope you are having a great day at your respective places, I wish you fun and lovely day out there.

 It's Saturday and it's a day for most of us to do some cleaning around the house, this is why after cleaning my work space, I decided to make this simple and useful drawstring box for keeping some of my threads for immediate use with the combination of two fabrics for the successful completion.

As a seamstress, have a lot of threads I use for sewing, some that are of same colors put together in a place and some that I have not used for a long time, so I thought of making this drawstring box where I can select and keep those thread I used frequently or immediate use for easy access and keep others away from my sewing space until they are needed.

# Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process 

I measured and cut out 13 x 13" of fabric with interfacing ironed on it and it was used to cut out a satin fabric as lining

Both fabrics were placed together and I measured and cut out 4" square on the 4 sides

The satin fabric was taken to the sewing machine and sewn together on the 4 sides leaving an opening on one side where the main fabric can be turned inside out

I took the smaller pieces cut out from the side of the satin, folded it in two and sewn it together on both sides

It was turned inside out and ironed, then folded in two and sewn mid point to mid point on the main fabric just as seen below

All the sides were sewn together just as I did on the lining and it was turned to the right side

The main fabric was inserted in the lining, right side to right side and was sewn at the top round

It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and the opening was top stitched on

The lining was put back in the main fabric and I top stitched at the top round

I made 2 long rope of 28" from my bias tape and it was fixed on the two opposite sides
