Developers MoneroV - controversial hard fork Monero, which was due in mid-March, reported the postponement of the launch date of the new crypto currency. According to the updated information published in the project blog, the hard fork MoneroV will take place on the block 1564965, that is, around April 30.

As the main reasons for this decision, organizers call increased interest from users, trading platforms and major mining pools.

The developers explain that to distribute the XMV coins to the holders of the original Monero was successful, the crypto currency must be launched on the leading trading floors. According to them, they are negotiating with the five exchanges, which are leading in terms of Monero trade volumes. At the time of publication, this is Bithumb, Bitfinex, HitBTC, Kraken and Binance.

In addition, the developers of the original Monero plan to update their own software in March, so moving the date hard fork will help to avoid confusion among users.

The organizers of the project also warn users about the spread of fraudulent schemes: "We will never ask you to register on any site that promises to distribute MoneroV. Never enter your private keys on such sites, in closed-source software, Google forms or anywhere else, except for the official MoneroV GUI-purse with open source. "

The developers also promise to make efforts in order to minimize the risks associated with the possible de-anonymization of the Monero network as a result of their hard fork. Earlier, several representatives of the Monero community expressed concern about the security of using private keys in third-party projects, and some even called a hard fork attack on the blockchain of the original crypto currency.
