<h1>How To Get Started With Binance (BSC) DeFi</h1>

DeFi is a ever growing system that is starting to replace traditional banks. They have evolved from a simple liquidity provider to now having entire ecosystem themselves much like a bank would. However unlike a traditional bank where you get left with a very low interest rate while they collect fees, high interest rates on loans and kick backs from governments with DeFi you get all of those perks!

In this article I will cover how to setup your wallet with Metamask or

<h3> How To Setup Your Metamask Wallet For Binance (BSC)</h3>

The first thing we will need to do is setup our Metamask wallet for the Binance Smart chain. This will allow us to add BSC tokens to our metamask wallet and be able to use them within the DeFi systems. In this case I will be focusing on the DeFi platform called [CUBDeFi Binance Smart Chain](https://cubdefi.com)

**Step 1: Getting The Metamask wallet**

The first thing we need to do is install Metamask you can do this via their website at [Metamask.io/Download](https://metamask.io/download/) 

**Step 2: Configuring Your Wallet for BSC**

Please note we are setting up this wallet for Binance Smart Chain. It's a version of Binance in which it allows you to connect into DeFi platforms. 

Click on your metamask wallet icon and go to the network tab at the top seen in this example.

From there go to the bottom and click on Add Network. Enter the following details

Network Name: Binance Smart Chain

New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

ChainID: 56

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Click Save. This now adds the Binance Smart Chain network to your metamask wallet. Click on the network at the tom again like under step 2. You'll now see Binance Smart Chain (Or whatever you named the network) Click on this and it will update to show you your Binance wallet and holdings.

Note that this address is the same as Ethereum or other layer two options such as Polygon. This is because Binance Smart Chain is a layer 2 token of the Ethereum network so the address remains the same across Polygon(MATIC), Binance Smart Chain(BSC) and Ethereum all you have to do is remember to toggle between the network depending on what one you want to view or use.

<h3>How To Get Started With DeFi</h3>

Now that your wallet is setup and configured and you have some BSC(Binance) In it to cover fees (Which typically range between $0.10 to $0.50 depending on congestion of the network) it's time to start putting your crypto to work.

With most defi platforms there are farms where you provide liquidity to the platform and earn on the fees. This is pushed back into the native token which in this case is CUB.

**Step 1: Connect your metamask wallet to [CubDeFi](https://cubdefi.com/)**

Do this by going to [CubDeFi.com](https://cubdefi.com/) and in the top right click on connect. From the list of options select Metamask and approve the connection. This now gives CubDeFi access to the wallet so transactions and information can be pulled from it.

Step 2: Options Farms and Kingdoms

[Farms](https://cubdefi.com/farms) are your normal type of DeFi protocol. You provide liqudity to the system and in exchange you earn the native token (in this case it is the CUB token) the pairings currently avilable as of writing this are
CUB-BUSD
CUB-BNB
BLEO-BNB
DEC-BUSD
CakePop-BUSD

You will need equal values of both of these tokens in your wallet in order to move forward and add them to the farm. To do so click on the farm you want to contribute to so it drops down. From here click on Get (tokens) LP seen here in this example.

This will take you to Pancakeswap which will allow you to pair the two and create the token that is needed to stake on the CubDeFi farm. You will manually need to claim your tokens which will cost a transaction fee each time you do.

[Kingdoms](https://cubdefi.com/kingdoms) on the other hand allow you to place any amount of tokens into it and auto compound it without having to worry about constantly compounding the asset or paying fees on those collections. Instead you will pay a flat fee that auto comes out as the system compounds and optimizes your investment.

For instants if you add CAKE to the pool which is Pancake Swaps DeFi native token not only are you going to earn CAKE but you're also going to get some CUB for doing so. This will also be auto compounded for you leaving it mainly hands free and creating more of a passive crypto income for you.
