Many Promising Aspects To Bitcoin and Crypto This Year

Bitcoin gives us the rock base we need for crypto adoption. Of course any news around it will mean a rally and from that rally other coins will rally around it. Let's take a look into some of the headlines and my thoughts on them.

# SEC No Plans to Regulate Bitcoin in 2021

After all the complaining and threats from people within the government about regulating bitcoin and blah blah it turns out there is NOTHING happening in terms any regulations on Bitcoin in 2021. The reason for this is they most likely have no power to actually regulate it. I don't know the full details but for myself right off the bat it would see unconstitutional to be able to say a currency can not be accepted.

# November Upgrade

In short this upgrade will make it so that bitcoin will be able to use the lightning network more but also reduce the size of smart contracts allowing for lower fees so Bitcoin can be a part of DeFi.

# Influencers Talk Positive
- Suze Orman, Tudor Jones and Elon Musk

More influencers are talking positive about bitcoin and crypto again. Above lists a few of them and their opinions on the crypto. As much as we might hate that a vast majority of people listen to influencers it's just a fact of how it all works.

**Suze Orman **- Likes the idea of bitcoin, she was and I believe still is a very influential person in the finance community about retirement investing and general investing.

**Tudor Jones** - Says he likes bitcoin as a great way to diversify your portfolio. Recommends 5% (This could be promising as we recent saw the first 401k company to allow 5% of a persons 401k to be invested into crypto)

**Elon Musk** - Let's be honest this guys got a lot of haters now. Once one of the coolest people in the world quickly became a real A hole within a month. Doesn't mean a lot of people don't still listen to him though. Now says they will accept bitcoin again as it becomes more "green" ya know because everything else like shooting rockets into space is super green ;)

# Coinbase Pro To List Polkadot (DOT)

Had to throw this one in here as Polkadot is actually a good competitor to Polygon which is attempting to take over the DeFi and NFT market places. DOT will be added to coinbase pro. I have a feeling Coinbase pro is going to be listing a massive amount of new coins to their marketplace and also adding them directly into coinbase as demand continues to grow for these (altcoin projects)

Looking like it's going to be a great year for BTC and cryptocurrency with great development lined up. 

Hope the sec doesn't come knocking like they always do. The BTC upgrade and the London Hard fork for ethereum is one thing I look forward to
