<h1>Polygon Matic| How PolyCub Is Perfectly Positioned</h1>

Polycub has only been around for a few months and in those few months a lot of very positive changes have been happening in that DeFi platform to make it one of the best options on the Polygon(Matic) blockchain.

Currently Polygon(Matic) only holds about 1.77 billion in TVL (Total Value Locked) as reported by [DeFiLlama Polygon](https://defillama.com/chain/Polygon) which is a rather small fraction of the DeFi space. However Polygon is showing strength in this area as of late and it's TVL has climbed rather steadily. 


### Connecting To It's Roots (HIVE)

One of the biggest changes to PolyCub was the introduction of Hive assets to it. While SPS isn't new to the DeFi world Hive and HBD (a decentralized stable coin) where. These two have been a game changer to the platform offering massive liquidity and earnings for the Polygon platform. In fact the platform is now collecting more fees than it pays out which currently is a 0.25 Polycub per block which runs about 3-5 seconds per block.

This connection back to hive allows for the following DeFi Liquidity pools on PolyCub.

**PLEO-WMATIC** - Is a wrapped version of the Hive layer two token called LEO which is earned on the front of of [LeoFinance.io](https://leofinance.io) and a wrapped version of Polygon(matic)

**PHBD-USDC** - Combines two stable coin. PHBD which is a wrapped version of Hives decentralized stable coin and USDC which is a stable coin of Centre which was founded by Coinbase and Bitmain with investment in Circle.

**PHIVE-Polycub** - THis one might be my new all time favorite at the moment. Phive which is a wrapped version of the HIVE token which is earned in various ways on the Hiveblockchain including blogging at [LeoFinance.io](https://leofinance.io) and Polycub which is the native token of Polycub.

**PSPS-Polycub** - Maybe my second favorite. PSPS is the wrapped version of the governance token for one of the largest play2earn / play2own games in the crypto space called [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood)

### New vexPolyCub

Governance is also a big focus for this platform. While you can cast your vote during any pip with Polycub tokens you have at [PolyCub Governance](https://polycub.com/governance) you can gain even more voting weight by placing your xPolyCub into a new system called vexPloyCub which requires a locking period of 727 days. While in that xpolycub is in there you will earn at least a stable 20%APR on it and also have 3x the voting power. This reward is given to those because of the long term investment nature of making such a move which is 2 years.

### Polygon Is Advancing Quickly

There's a lot of news coming out of Polygon about developments, partnerships and new applications. It's becoming clear quickly that Polygon is going to be a powerhouse in the crypto space. I believe the DeFi space is one very large system it could start to really take over. The updates coming to Ethereum soon will not fix fee issues so a layer 2 solution seems the most beneficial thing to use for your DeFi projects. This puts PolyCub and Polygon in the perfect position for the next crypto rally.
