I joined [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood) in Alpha phase and then maxed out my beta deck x2 almost x3 when I bought into the kick starter and created my own summoner (who is Valnamor) the game wasn't all that much at the time it was pretty bear bones basic but in reality it was one of the very few games which would later become a hot topic of play2earn games. The core base however really wasn't the play2earn people and instead investors and people that in general just loved playing games and though playing them on hive would be awesome. The thought of actully owning your assets unlike in other digital games where you really can't do anything with them.

Since then Splinterlands has become huge. One of the most popular if not the most popular digital asset blockchain game 


### NFTs Can Hold Value

What makes NFTs really awesome are the ones with utility and value behind them. Just like anything in life supply and demand runs things. As long as people are enjoying playing [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood) for whatever reason be it guild battles, streaming, as a investor, to farm and mine lands or any number of things with Splinterlands. All of that provides value to all the assets in Splinterlands primarily the cards within it.

I believe the team has done a great job and continues to do a great job with development and scaling the game to new levels. Without rushing too fast into hype but still understanding that things need to get pushed for development and growth of the game.

[PeakMonsters](https://peakmonsters.com/) which I can buy, sell and rent on along with a number of other great features. One of which shows me all of my cards providing me with listing price and Market prices. I'm happy to say even with the massive sell offs in the markets as of the last few months my Splinterlands NFTs have held up VERY well in fact today the value of my assets actully grew by $2,000!

### Comparison

Other games are primarily focused on how to make players money and not really the game value and enjoyment/entertainment value. As a player of many wax games this is all too clear that 95% of those games are geared towards people getting in early buying NFTs mining and hopefully profiting off of those NFTs and selling them off. This has caused many of these projects to crash in value and some even closing up shop. 

Not [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood) the main focus is enjoyment of gaming and competitiveness which is going to build a strong foundation for the game. Along with lore to further bolster story value of everything. The other focus is how to release things not to hurt existing assets and I have to say they have done a great job of this. While yes my assets are far off the hype value highs and the rentals of $50+ daily I still earn a decent amount while enjoying playing the game and building up other assets. There's still much to come to the game as well which will most likely build up even more value for the game including Nodes, New packs, Lands and who knows what else.

Overall I firmly have to say the best investment and continued investment that has held its value the longest and most stable as in fact been a game as crazy as that sounds!
