<h1>The Next LPUD Why You Should Take Part</h1>

Every month on the 15th LPUD happens LPUD stands for LEO Power Up Day. It's a day where it's encouraged for people to power up LEO tokens at this time which can be used for curation rewards to take part in the token inflation that happens.

LPUD also offers up tons of prizes and bonuses which change from month to month. In fact I offer up a 5,000 LEO delegation for 3 weeks as one of the many prizes that can be won during this time.

### What's Coming To LEO

There are two highly expected features coming to the LEO platform in the next few weeks before 2023 they are expected.

The first of which will be an all new UI that we already got some sneak peaks of. From the looks of it the front end people are hit with will look a lot like twitter and feature what is currently known as "threads". From here you can still drill down or honestly drill out larger form content such as articles that are written on LeoFinance.

I'm curious if there will be ad spots I can pay for with LEO. There's also been a tease of being able to lock content behind pay walls and other such features which could be rather cool and give the platform more flexibility. However the big thing is going to be engagement and brining people into the platform because if you don't have that it's going to go belly up in terms of real use.

With that will also come more ads and more ad space which is more in lined with the UI for both desktop and mobile with mobile in mind first. This ad revenue will be part of a smart contract which is said to be sold and buy LEO which is then distributed back to people. The bought LEO I'm hoping comes from the DEFI pools such as CUBDeFi and PolyCub which should at least somewhat fuel growth on those defi platforms again and really get things cycling.

My hopes also are that the new UI offers up clean swaps and ways to swap into and out of LEO using CUB and Polycub. These featured built into the UI to me make the most sense and are a powerful way to get people using it and exposure to the platforms.

My hopes are the UI also is super user friendly where it's easy to onboard new users and give them enough delegation to be able to interact for a period of time before trying to learn the wallets and crypto and why they need hive power. It's going to be very interesting to me to see how this is all going to go down but for sure I'll be promoting it.

### Why You Should Get Your LEO

LEO is the core token now of pretty much everything that is being built. It can be used for many things which continue to expand but on top of that will have some form of passive inflation/ad yield to it as well.

LEO is now known as the core token of everything now and moving into the future. If you agree with that or not all comes down to if you want to hold the token or sell it. For me I'm a hodler until at least the next bull run starts kicking in.

LEO needs to harvest more value if it is to get more weight and one stream that could be used for it are the ads. Once and if they will enable such a "smart contract" to buy LEO with Ads Revenue and push the price up, we will see a true commitment to making this asset valuable again.

Fully agree and it's something many platforms are lacking. I don't get how they expect to run a successful business that gives back when they just expect people to buy their token and that's it lol. Revenue streams need to come in which go back to token holders or content creators some how. Ads are the simplest way, fees from defi and swaps are another and there's plenty of others. Web3 needs to takes lessons from web2 ads are required! Doesn't mean you have to collect a bunch of data on people.

Looking forward to the ad buybacks going live. The 24 hour volume is only $1000 on LEO today and they seemed to be earning about 4K a month for the past 6 or so months. With so much LEO staked across all of the chains it wouldn't take much to double the price.

Double the price and people start looking closer. Hit 20c and people sign up.

Hit $1 and we have a serious project underneath us with the top holders long term players that won't crash the price. They will be getting the majority of the buyback LEO which will strengthen the economy and keep the price going up as ad revenue increases form the new users and views.

All theoretical but if they get the new UI right and make it easy to sign up and use it wouldn't take much to bring in a few thousand new users. If we hit a bull run it could be in tens of thousands with a larger even more knowledgeable userbase of authors and content. 

Exciting times for 2023.
