<h1>What's New With Hive Blockchain Feb 19th</h1>

Each week I pull the changes that happened on hive including new launches, updates and more for the projects I'm following. If you're developing something on the Hive blockchain and it's not in my updates list here let me know down in the comments so I can track and get you added in.

# Hive Front Ends

### [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/threads) the [Alpha Threads](https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads) 
Is in full force and looking good. I'm interested what rollout of updates we will get each week. I invite you to come check it out.

### [3Speak](https://3speak.tv/)

3Speak seems to be undergoing a lot of backend work. My hopes are we see some updates to the UI soon and more support or a side project support for a shorts version of the platform to mimic something a long the lines of youtube. The only issue I see with that is every short would be published to hives blog platform which I'm sure is not what people are wanting. My hopes are we also see a small amount of ad support going on here soon to bring $ value into the project, tokens and overall just to help fuel development work.

# Gaming

@psyberx is making some moves lately. The biggest was the open playing for everyone of the game which shows a huge milestone in terms of getting this project released to everyone. [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood) has release two new proposals. The first being that enough Chaos packs are reserved as rewards in reward chests until Rebellion is released. Personally I wasn't a very big fan of this one as the only one benefiting from it are higher end players who really don't need more cards. What I don't get is how everyone is pricing in land already and that's there's too few cards. how about we launch land first and then determine if there's too few cards. Speculation is not a game I like to play and right now that feels like where a vast majority of these proposals are coming from.

The second proposal is for starter packages. I kind of like this idea and buying them actully holds a good deal of value and makes the purchase well worth it. It also seems like all the DEC and DEC-B used in these buys will be burned which should take us closer to that $0.001 peg everyone thinks we will hit and some how stay at? Still not understanding yet how we for sure hold that peg.

As for all the other games there hasn't been all too much action there yet. There's a lot of little things but nothing in terms of major announcements like the release of the game fully. My hopes are there's a lot more to talk about on this front come Q2. 


# Other Things

Outside of that there's simply whispers of other projects and such going on but nothing to yet report on. In fact I'm starting to work towards my own small project while still increasing my push for onboarding people into Hive and in particular now LeoThreads. However threads is going to primarily wait until the new UI is up and running and running well. The reason for this is I know if people hit a clunky platform that's not solid the chances of them hanging around or coming back again are low. I rather present them with something solid and not having to go to a Alpha page right now.
