I been getting my lease on with Dlease leasing out my Hive power for a daily hive payout, you can check out my wallet for the details if you like, we transparent out here on the blockchain after all, I think its very neat addition to the Hive ecosystem, I am not sure about the profitability comparing to using your hive power in other ways, if you have any input on that would be greatly appreciated !

You're already doing the right way to earn passive income. Some users prefer to lease + post + upvote while on the blockchain to maximize profits to be earned. But for people that don't have a lot of hours browsing posts and engaging with other users, leasing is the solid way to earn since earnings are secured. You get the amount that someone is willing to pay for upfront.

The alternative way is delegating to a community curation service. It's like leasing but the amount of income you receive daily isn't fixed and it will depend on your share of the pool with other users that delegated to the account. The community account earns from the curation rewards and it redistributes those rewards based on your stake on the pool. The down side with this method is that rewards are not fixed due to performance based, and you also do not get paid for the 5 days spent trying to recover your HP when removing your delegation. 

Leasing income includes those 5 days when your hp is stuck on limbo coming back to you. The short version is, leasing = fixed income, delegating to a curation service = variable income. Well that's enough info load for a comment :D
