But not forever.  Eventually Bitcoin has to flush and wipe and get cleaned up.  I haven't posted anything cryptocurrency related in a while but lately I'm seeing a low I haven't seen in a long time.  Prices that I didn't think I would ever see again.  I remember telling my friends back when Bitcoin hit 5 grand for the first time that the days of a bitcoin being under $1000 are long gone.

## Shapoopy
Everything looks terrible right now and it's hard to tell if/when it will recover but I believe it will.  If time has told me anything, I think that it's possible we won't recover til around this time *next year*, but that doesn't put into account the massive cryptocurrency adoption that has taken place in the last year.  This alone could be the factor that gives us another great christmas like last year and hopefully we don't have  such a bumpy 2019.  It's been super bumpy this year with no way of knowing where the market was heading.  I thought 1 BTC would be at $25k by now and boy was I wrong, but this doesn't stop me.

When I consider the price of bitcoin in June of 2017 (about $2500) and the price of Steem in January of 2017 (about $0.15) crypto is still doing pretty good for itself in comparison to the first 3 quarters of 2017.  The first quarter of 2018 barely saw any fun so to me that means the 2017 crypto spike was too shortlived to count for much.  Just like when bitcoin hit 1 grand for the first time.  I thought "this is it" and then it crashed to as low as $150 by end of the year.  This discouraged me and to this day I still regret letting it discourage me instead of...

## Seeing the Opportunity
You have to look past the *short term* in order to see the opportunity.  Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has always been long term to me.  This is in no way a get rich quick, you just have to be able to not need to cash out until you get there.  I've wasted plenty of money on different money making strategies and may have fallen victim to an MLM once or twice throughout my life and I have nothing to show for that.  I once compared bitcoin to a giant decentralized slot machine.  You throw some money in and the slot machine spins til you stop it.  

I'm just gonna let this bad boy keep on spinning.

There are way too many big companies working with bitcoin and cryptocurrency for it to fall, and I still say that we will never see bitcoin under 1 grand again.  I *want* to say $2500, but given the history a $1500 bitcoin is still possible, but not probable!

## When I joined Steemit I made the decision to always Power-Up my earnings.  For now, payouts are set to 50/50 but you bet I will convert & Power Up!  Besides internal transfers, I have never cashed out and don't plan on it! Power-Up only!
