So these numbers above seem to confirm the new linear relationship between vest and reward:

16.7/0.426 = 39.2 (your friend is 39.2 times bigger than you)
$0.18 (your upvote) * 39.2 = $7.056 (i.e. your friend's upvote).

This reminds me of Google's algorithm regarding backlinks.. If your website is linked to by a larger, more trusted website then you receive a more credible boost in reliability by Google and other search engines.

There is a world of wonderful creativity and positive vibrations being posted but finding out just WTF is going on with Steemit and how to make money is a nightmare of vastly TOO MUCH verbage.

It MUST be possible to condense it to 20 words
Forget the fact that I do need to be able to write intersting material and/ or take world-beating photographs. (There is real talent on Steemit)

Interesting info I have 0 Vests so are dust and 10% voting power, but only been on a day so clearly need to keep working on it
