The correlation of Steem with the other currencies

The table below shows the correlation of the Steem daily price movement (since the start of the year) with the top 50 currencies by market cap. 

No surprise that the correlation is strong with BitShares and Bitcoin but what is interesting is the strong negative correlation with PIVX and iExec_RLC. I'd be interested to get views on what is driving this.

No problem. I have the full correlation matrix which shows the correlation of all 50 with all 50 if you'd be interested. It would also be interesting to see how consistent the correlation is from month/quarter to quarter. Also, if the price movements on certain coins  follow others by a certain lag.
