Previously, the domain was a portal for Internet real estate and owned by the company Inflection. Civic bought the domain name after the Influence ceased operations in this business.

Winnie Lingam did not disclose details of the negotiations and the transaction amount. However, he stated that he always considered the domain identity.com the ideal address for promoting its blockchain project.
