These pictures tell a story the first picture was of the stock rom that was running on my phone before i rooted it. I spent the entire sunday googling it i followed some steps from htconeroot site i unlocked the bootloader first and went on to flashing the recovery unto the phone it was then that i started encountering fastboot command not found it took me a while to get the command to work the tutorials i found on webupd site wasn't but i found how to install the fastboot and adb commands from lifehacker.

Naturally the next step was to use the terminal to flash the twrp recovery which to my amazement it didn't work so back to googling it was so i searched and searched until i came accross a site that recommended flashing via flashify so i installed the app since the bootloader was unlocked i downloaded the kingroot app and rooted the phone it was temporary since if the phone were to reboot it would unroot itself and i would be back to square one.

So immediately after rooting i went on to give the flashify app root permissions and installed the recovery img file and proceeded to install the supersu.zip which permanently rooted the phone.

The next step was to then flash the cyanogenmod 13 via the twrp recovery which i did and then i proceeded to install the google apps gapps for short which resulted in a lot of problems so i had to flash the cyanogenmod 13 again and download and install the google play services and google play manually.

And luckily it worked and that helped a lot because some apps required google play services to be installed. And this is a process that i started yesterday in the afternoon so from sunday in the afternoon to 3:00 am this morning i was working on it non-stop all the frustrations and letdowns untill finally i got it rooted and flashed the cyanogenmod 13.

But it's there is trouble in paradise it turns out that when you try to call someone with the phone dialer it reboots every time so now i will have to go back to googling again and find some solution or avoid using the phone dialer and stick whatsapp calls such a let down but i have to deal with it.

Life is full of ups and downs.

Well i shared my story and i hope you will like my post and upvote it.

Thank you.
