Reminds me of when I was recovering back in 2013. I'd had a sciatic flareup so bad it repinched the nerve and they had to surgically go in and move the nerves out of the pinch point and fix it so they wouldn't pinch like that easily again.
For a while, in stores, I had to use those motor-carts. I dislike using them because they're slow, and I can't reach everything I need from them. But getting up and down still hurt, a lot. And I couldn't stand long.
The incident was this. There were multiple carts not being used. I hobbled in on my cane, settled into the seat, and went into the store to shop, and this {censored} instead of just taking one of the other available carts, was following me around yelling at me to get my "lazy arse" out of the cart, and "nothing's wrong with you," and "My feet are tired I should have that you don't need it!" Etc.
When I pointed out that there were others it was then "But I always use THIS one because it's got the extra cushions!" Except that, that "extra cushions" was my temporary back brace and a soft pillow *I* had brought with me to sit upon on the cart to try to ease the remaining ache.
She even tried to yank me off the cart. Yes I am heavy still. And I used my cane, which I'd put across the basket, to hit her. She started screaming at the top of her lungs as if I was killing her while shaking the cart. I mean literally you would *swear* she was being violently, brutally, murdered the way she was shrieking.
Security came up, she tried this BS story of how I shoved her out of the cart, took her cushions, and refused to return it to her. They looked at the video, saw her BS, and she got kicked out.
I mean yeesh, there were SEVERAL other of those motor-carts, she could've grabbed one of the others if she was that desperate to use one. But no, she wanted the "cushioned one". Though if I'd gotten off I'd've taken the cushions with me since a part of them was my back brace and the other I'd've grabbed since it was my pillow I was using to protect me while I was recovering from the minor surgery.
To this day I have no idea why she decided to act like that. It made absolutely no sense. Yes I can walk normal again, mostly. And I was *really* glad to not have to use those motorized store carts anymore. I really dislike how slow they are.
