My best guess is that it's not profitable. I based most of this story on the worst aspects of Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season for me. I have been gasping for air despite medication's intervention. Fun times. It sucks that there's other folks out there who understand that suffering too well.

In real life, it's a genetic condition, you're born with it. There are very advanced treatments for it now, but there are no cures due to it being something a person is born with.
