Mobile website technology first started around 1997. At that time Nokia is the only to introduced Internet on a mobile phone. Nokia 9000 was the first smartphone with an LCD display to access the internet. After that in 2001, Ericsson introduced the T68 phone with a color display and built-in web browser.

**2G** is the second generation cellular network technology. It was commercially launched as a GSM device enable technology in 1991. The signal is digitally encrypted and it provides some great feature. The first time someone sends a text message to the other mobile or network compatible device. It also provides picture message and MMS service. Before 2G the mobile network is known as 1G, the first generation network which is an analog network. 2G network is the digital network.
**2.5G** is the updated version of the 2G network which pprovidesGenaral Packet Radio Service (GPRS). It is an internet service which gives a maximum of 50KB/SEC. 
**2.75G** It is an upgraded version of 2.5G. It provides Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution. It also is known as EDGE connection. It allows to data transfer speed at maximum 1Mbps. After that 3G is introduced.
The first 3G phone is the Nokia 6680 which was launched in 2005. Then in 2005 smartphone and the palmtop came together with the HTC Universal smartphone with 3G and Windows Mobile operating system.
