It is tough at the top when everyone wants to beat you but Spurs overcame a tough Fulham side with ease last night setting them up for a big game against Palace on Friday and then the bog one against the Chelsea under Poch. That will be some game. Postecoglou's has got the record for the best start to a season by a new manager in the Premier League and boy has he taken Spurs by storm, Contrast this to last year when the players were getting booed off for playing defensive football. It is clear now that Conte and Mourinho were a terrible fitfor Spurs as this free flowing attacking style has got the buzz back at the lane. It is amazing what a few months does to a team and the difference in the line up is massive. Ange knows his first 11 and plays them. If there are injuries or suspensions then he just slots a player in to place.

 Last night PEH slotted in for Bissouma which was a worry amongst Spurs fans because they see PEH as a throwback to peak Mourinho and Conte. His most famous skill is passing it back and slowing the game down. Big Ange is making him do the opposite but in fairness to PEH last night he did not put a foot wrong. The first half was very good where Spurs went on the attack from the off and were aggressively chasing every ball. It was really really good and we should have been 3 up by half time. There is a problem here though as we were not 3 up so our attack need to be more clinical. Richarlison is still a nervous wreck with the ball with little Conte in his brain shouting at him from afar. When he gets a couple of goals he will come good. He worked his socks off last night and I feel sorry for him. On saying that he has the touch of a rapist and out left is the best place for him. If you compare his touch to Sonny's it is night and day so this is why they put Sonny through the middle. That and Sonny is not a winger anymore. Kuluevski stood out for me. He ran and ran and ran. He is a machine and impossible to get the ball off him because he is strong as an ox. I don't think I have seen a player bar maybe Kane that can out muscle defenders. We went 1 - nil up with a good worked goal by Sonny but the second half we were sloppy and Big Ange was going mad in his own way on the sidelines. Passes were left short and it looked like the Spurs of old. Ange mentioned it in his presser after the game. The win was a good one but he probably chewed them out in the dressing room after the game, Anges standards are high and he won't be long about telling his players. Ange took Sonny, Maddison and Richarlison off early in the second half to keep them fit for Crystal Palace. You could see they were not happy but the bigger picture was the game on Friday. There is debate whether we should take our 2 best players off so early but we were 2 nil up at that stage then we may as well of thrown in the towel. Special mention to our new keeper Vicario who is topping the charts with saving stats in the Premier League. All the Arsenal mob were laughing when they signed Raya which it turns out upset the mood in the squad having 2 number 1 keepers. But Raya is prone to a mistake or 2 or 3 but this guy did not put a foot wrong. I know who I would want in my goals. 
Tottenham welcomed Bentancur back into full training a couple of weeks ago so they will be unleashing him against in November. Bentancur is a Rolls Royce of a player and I can not wait until he is back. We have some midfield then. With this midfield and the Centre Back Pairing of Romero and VDV that are really after changing how Spurs play as the two defenders have the pace to cover each flank. This gives freedom for Udogee and Porro to effectively go walkabout and turn up practically anywhere. I was laughing with the father last night that Udogee was picking up balls on the right wing and he was playing left back. Good lord. He got caught out a couple of times but Romero and VDV were at the back to sweep things up.

In the presser on Saturday Big Ange was asked about Harry Kane leaving and he gave an interesting comment about how they can play in a different way now that Harry is gone. Let us not beat around the bush. Harry is a world class number 9 and number 10 but the team had to play everything through him. With Ange's system the goals are spread out and Maddison is a great number 10. You can even see in the England set up that Kane, Maddsion and Bellingham are getting in the way of each other. People thought when Kane left we were goners and one Arsenal fan even bet me €20 that Spurs would be relegated. Amazing.
Just thinking about Arsenal actually . They are playing atrocious football and have been lucky so far this season. Not as lucky as last season when every result went right for them but still lucky. Chelsea went 2 up and their keeper handed Arsenal the game. Problems at that club. They need a number 9 as Jesus is just not clinical enough. I think they will sign Toney in January in my opinion.

So Palace on Friday. Bissouma will be back for selection after his one match ban. If he gets another yellow card he is out of the Chelsea match so will they rest Bissouma for the Palace game in case he gets a yellow. Maybe they will but it is unlikely. I can see PEH knocking on the door asking why he got dropped this Friday as he did little wrong last night. That said Bissouma is a machine and one of the best midfielders in world football on his day. This will give Ange a small headache on Friday morning but he won't lose sleep over it. It is a new Spurs. The fans are beginning to think about great things on the horizon. I know it is October but Spurs have no European football this season where their competition are spread thin with matches mid week. Maybe and jjust maybe we could achieve something this season.
