Foreign to non-savvy tech people, this new blockchain technology may seem over-intimidating to most. If you are one of these people do not understand the blockchain or the "new currencies" they seem to just be creating, you are NOT ALONE.  
    This new technology called the blockchain can be explained in much simpler terms then you have heard before. The brainchild behind the blockchain network is a person or group of people known by the pseudonym,  Satoshi Nakamoto (creator of Bitcoin). The Blockchain allows for digital information to be shared but not copied, giving it an immense amount of value.

Essentially it is an incorruptible economic ledger that records every transaction and turns it into a digital block, which then is attached to the most recent block (hence the "chain" of blocks).  This is a shared network, where transactions can move from consumer to consumer, rather than from consumer to bank to consumer. Still confused?
