Fantastic talk, really getting into a depth I haven't heard before and also fascinating how Steemit/Dtube and others are all related but taking different paths; blockchain vs. IPFS, etc ... really starting to understand how everything happening now are just the first steps of a much larger entity that is developing !!

Dtube is truely oxm man.!

What will happen to YouTube?  youtube so bad. Dtube is good

DTube and SteemIt have a huge advantage compared to YouTube, Facebook, Google and Co.. DTube hands out money for videos, comments, upvotes and that is so great. Don't underestimate the people, people will always go there where the money is and the money is at DTube. YouTube and Co aren't known for fair money distribution at DTube is and so DTube can be the next HUGE success story.

First day on dtube and steemit, and this great talk is what ive found.
Great to be joining the community for changing the ecosystem.
a few thoughts: 
1)maybe users can get extra tokens for self-verifying themselves as a human via by doing a series of verification tests, games or live interactions with other people(live cam chatting with random people maybe?)
2)users should also be rewarded for inviting friend that verified as human
3)about the voting power of whales, maybe their vote power towards the same person decrease overtime or decrease if voted too frequently
4)or take it the opposite way, where all votes have a cap with a decent range for the whales and fishes to reach over time where therell be an accumulation of weight when users had voted for the same person repeatedly

anyways, these are just some quick thoughts,, im new to the system and excited about it, and for sure i need to research more on the topic then find my place in steemit&dtube.

IN 5 years will Steemit over take youtube and facebook. Most will say no. But ask the folks that thought Myspace was the shit of the shit 

As Ned mentions, I think Steemit could be an alternative to Patreon. I've already seen a moviemaker raising funds on here to make a movie. The potential and possibilities are endless.

Actually, cryptocurrency (especially bitcoin) will decrease right now because it becomes more and more popular because of YT and media

I think before you do ANYTHING... you might want to work on getting the freakin' videos to play!! Most of the videos I click on do NOT play. I have told several people about this site and NONE of them even cared to sign up due to this and not to mention the complex sign up situation.

Great opportunity having both of you @ned and @heimindanger on the same screen talking about the future of Steem! 

I appreciate that you highlighted *copyrights* and explained how *DMCAs* can be handled on the Steem blockchain - that's a really important point, especially seeing the fast growing number of users. Adrien, you're right the community is self-controlling that issue in a certain way, and that will become even more important in the future.

Also I think many people share your vision for the next 5 years, Ned. Getting as much as entrepreneurs with their web applications on the Steem blockchain, being supported by SMTs is a big target.

I'm excited to see how the oracles and smt will transfer the Steem experience. I can't wait to see the collaborations and projects. I'm the most excited about the steemit being organized into communities with their own top feeds. Sounds like the Steem platform is only going to improve; I'm just excited to part of it!
