It was a fun event, and before returning home, my daughter and I took a stroll along the beach to catch the sunset. We decided to stop at the parking area, which was only a few steps away from the event venue. Since the venue was on the beach, there were a lot of tourists all over the place.

I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph the sunset while we waited for our food to be served. The sky was sensational and stunning. I looked up above me as I walked toward the golden sand grains, and I saw streaks of color filling the magnificent sky. The soft, supple skin reminded me of a perfectly ripe mango, with orange and bright yellow hues. The ocean's sparkling, brilliant blue waves reflected the radiant face of the setting sun.

Along with the humming of the birds and the rhythmic waves, the joyful sounds of the beach filled my ears, creating a melodic and calming combination. I walked around for a few more minutes and let my ears hear the thoughts of the natural world. As they called my name, the sun was setting behind the horizon. While our food was being served, I continued to thank the Almighty for all the blessings by gazing up at the sky.

It was a weekend full of gratitude.
