Gods Unchained Community Contest 3: Three must have card types

In this article we will examine three card types that are must haves for the community contest going on currently. The three gods that need to be used during the contest are death, war and nature. They all bring certain strengths and weaknesses however there are a few similarities that you can plan for. Let us get into the card types so you can attack and win this contest period.

**1. Relic Removal**

A card with relic removal is imperative against these gods as there are several deck strategies that really rely on specific relics. For death, necroscepter and the zombie deck is one that you really want to remove quickly before buff cards like netherswarm lord gets out there. For nature, moonlight charm can make a creature or group of creatures even bigger and badder than they usually are. Taking care of this relic can delay any type of buff strategy your opponent has with nature. Lastly, war is a the relic king and boasts many high powerful relics that can smack monsters and your god alike. It goes without being said that you need to have a relic removal card against war. A few cards that boast this ability are iron tooth goblin and bronze servant.

**2. AOE damage**

All of these gods like to get wide early in a lot of cases and having a spell to wipe out or breakdown these creatures is imperative to get back in the game if the board has got away from you. Carnage sweep for war, wildfire for nature, and ragnarok are great AOE spells that can help get you back into the game.

**3. Hidden creatures**

This is a bit of a sneaky play in my opinion as there are not many hidden creatures with either of these gods. That is where a few neutral cards come in. With all the buff cards out there with each god, having a few hidden creatures who can stay alive through the buffs is big. There are also several spells and blitz creatures that can remove these creatures off the board without the hidden ability. The two cards that are useful in my opinion for this strategy are sneaky bruiser and encumbered looter.

I have really enjoyed the contests that have been running as it really puts the focus on non-meta strategies giving some of the lower cost cards a chance to shine.
