Its hilarious to know how all mainstream social giants rally against cryptocurrency but eventually all of them are trying to adopt it in their current business models. Recently CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey said that they will consider Bitcoin Lightning  to be used as [Tippin](https://tippin.me/).

Payment processing on Lightning network is much cheaper and faster than traditional network. This could create awareness among masses about cryptocurrency and blockchain world, after all Twitter has large userbase.

On similar note, this initiative reminds of [SteemTipper](https://steemtipper.com/) - A tipping mechanism on Steem Blockchain initiated by @followbtcnews.

I think its always good for the market as a whole, so twitter starts tipping and they will probably try to control it, people may like the funtion but not the way its run and want to defect and we at steem will welcome them with open arms

A couple of months back I attended a Biz Conference organized by a local bank
After the CEO/Founder had finished the casual get to know him session, we were invited to ask him questions. 
Of course the crypto question popped up
And he very casually said, that it is coming whether you like it or not, and as disruptive as it is, the banks are going to have to learn how to incorporate it....
And I know from a friend, her banker husband has been given very strict instructions not to go anywhere near crypto...

Before Steem I spent a lot of time on reddit, and most crypto subreddits have tipping bots very easy to use! Slowly but surely more and more businesses will implement cryptocurrencies as a payment method! When that happens there will be no reason to cash out, that is when things will get real for the crypto space!
